Simply Zinnia!

 Monday, April 29, 2024

Happy Monday! My favorite day of the week! Today's card is one I shared as the make-n-take at our April crafting day. I used the Simply Zinnia bundle.

I am really enjoying creating with this suite. I have almost used all the DSP.  Yea!!! I used a piece of the Lemon Lime Twist from the Glorious Gingham DSP on one of the cards. I really like how it looks. The card base is Old Olive and the zinnias are die cut from Melon Mambo. The Glimmer Paper is also from the suite. The sentiment is from Perennial Postage stamped in Melon Mambo ink and I fussy cut around it. I made multiples and plan to use them for Mother's Day cards.

Happy Stamping!

Monthly Wanderings

 Sunday, April 21, 2024

The month of April has been a blur with childcare for our granddaughters, a camping trip for the Farmer and I and a Stampin' Up team retreat with my upline.

We watched both of the granddaughters one day. It went pretty well. Autumn didn't take a nap so that was a little difficult. She finally passed out for a few minutes when we were out walking the dog. What I didn't anticipate was the Farmer and I having a meltdown with each other. Yea. Not good...quite embarrassing actually. It happened. We move on and try to learn from our mistakes. Communication is key and that is also very hard. We are in different roles as Poppy and Gigi. The girls are wonderful though!

Our campout was great! We went to a KOA Campground. Super nice and we hope to do a family camp there at some point. There are cabin...NICE cabins the kids could stay in and lots of activities besides the hiking trails and sites to see in the area. Here's one of the trails we hiked:

The remains of the Peter Iredale:

We took a walk around the Battery Russell:

And my cousin and I just had some good cousin time together!

The SU! Team Retreat was fabulous! It was just me and my upline. We also stayed at the beach but no camping for us! LOL!  We did alot of prep work for our '24-'25 Stampin' Up! Catalog Launch Party this Saturday.

That's the month in a nutshell! Cheers to April!

Happy Stamping!
