Let's Catch Up!

The last couple weeks have been full! We painted Steven's house!

It turned out really well. He is happy and that is all that matters! He is a first time home owner. The next project is the yard! That will be between he and his Dad. I'm not much of a yard work gal.

I helped with a bridal shower at our church. It was such a fun shower for guys and gals! I made this card for the bride and groom:

We had a successful Pancake Breakfast at our church. We raised about $1200 to be donated to a local charity. Here are a couple of the thank you cards I made to give to those that helped:

For Father's Day the Farmer and I took Taylor and his girlfriend, Katie to the beach and rode the Railriders! It was a lot of fun! Such a beautiful day!

Today Taylor joined us for a hike up Saddle Mountain.  It is a strenuous hike but we made it to the top and back down. Unfortunately, the clouds were solid today and we didn't get a view.

There were a lot of beautiful wildflowers though! I thought this wild rose growing out of the rock was just priceless and it reminds me of the SU! set "To a Wild Rose" that is on my wish list!

And that is just a quick recap of the last couple weeks. Didn't get a lot of crafting done but I hope to do more in the coming week. Harvest is upon us so we will see how that unfolds!

Blessings,
Tracy

Happy Tails!

My niece, Marcia, and her daughter Emma came over this afternoon and did a little crafting in Studio 1.15! We used the Happy Tails stamp set with the Dog Builder Punch.

This is the card I made. I forgot to take a picture of their cards! UGH!

And here is a picture of my happy dog, Jake, and the Farmer:

Creativity is Calling!

Tuesday, June 4, 2019

Well, today's the big day! The new Stampin' Up! catalog goes live! Exciting stuff for us SU! demonstrators and avid paper crafters!

I made this simple card using a piece of the Follow your Art DSP in the center with lots of the Stitched Rectangle dies. The heart is from the Stitched Be Mine dies. The sentiment is from the recently retired A Good Day stamp set. I used Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana cardstock.

The Farmer's been busy helping me out! We put up the signs for our church's upcoming Pancake Breakfast!  My friend, Gretchen, did an awesome job on the signs! She used her Cricut and the Country Life cartridge for the font! Love it!

Stay tuned to learn more about this photo! Painting??? What???

Make it a great day!

Tracy

Memory Making Monday

Life on the farm has been full!

I made the title page for my 2018 album! Quick and easy using the Butterfly Duet punch!

I love the rainbow of butterflies. I used the retired SU! All Around Alphabet for the letters and my Cricut to cut out the numbers. I will use the same alphabet set throughout the album. It just makes things simpler to use the same font and style.

A few weeks ago our Meadowfoam crop was in full bloom! It is was so pretty!

And here is the wheat growing nicely!

Happy Monday!
Blessings,
Tracy

Sunday, May 12, 2019

I made this card using the Beautiful Promenade stamp set and the Beautiful Layers thinlits. I used five different colors: Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride, Petal Pink, Pool Party and Coastal Cabana. I had originally thought I would enter it in the Fab Friday 162 challenge but that didn't happen. I made these two other cards with this color combination also.

This card uses the Butterfly Gala Stamp set and the Country Floral embossing folder. The sentiment is from A Big Thank You.

And on this one the flowers are from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set.

I hope you have a lovely day! Happy Mother's Day to all mothers!

Blessings,
Tracy

Monday, May 6, 2019

Well, it is still Monday! What a very full weekend it was! I spent all day Saturday crafting with my girlfriends. We meet once a month. I got a few projects completed! Yea! I didn't get to dog sit Bonnie though. They had a change of plans. Bummer. Maybe next time! Sunday was our Spring Tea at church. I helped with it. We did a fiesta themed tea complete with a pinata! I made these favors for everyone who came. I got the idea from the Paper Pixie. I used the Garden Impressions 6 x 6 DSP which is available until June 3 or while supplies last.

This week I will be doing projects with the Beautiful Promenade bundle. For my scrapbook page today I just used one flower stamped onto crumb cake with Merry Merlot and Shaded Spruce and the little line art from the stamp set.  I stamped the title with a retired SU! set called All Around Alphabet.

My scrapbooking is real simple most of the time. I call it clean, classic and complete! I thought I would add more to these pages but no, I'm good with it! HA! I will journal on the pages though.

I hope your week is off to a good start! The sun has been shining here! It is just wonderful!

Blessings,
Tracy

Happy Friday!

I have a card to share with you today using the Broadway Birthday stamp set.

I used the Broadway Bound DSP and Lovely Lipstick as my card base. I stamped "Make A" in Lemon Lime Twist which has been one of my favorite In Colors and is retiring. It is still available through May while supplies last. I stamped "WISH" in Lovely Lipstick and embossed the little dots in gold. I mounted the banner on a piece of Gold Glimmer paper and added Lovely Lipstick 1/8" grosgrain ribbon. I thought it turned out bright and cheery.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I will be paper crafting with friends all day on Saturday! YEA! And I have a full Sunday. Plus I get to dog sit Bonnie! More about that later!

Blessings,
Tracy

Happy May Day!

Today I am sharing a little treat box I made with the Broadway Bound Specialty DSP. This paper will not be in the new catalog. So, get it now!

It's just a tiny little thing but easy to make. I got the idea from Sam Donald a fellow demonstrator from the UK. I stamped the sentiment from the Well Said stamp set. Super fun and cute treat box. I've already given it away!

Here's a smile to help you get through your Wednesday! This is Jake our dog.

Enjoy your day!
Blessings,
Tracy

Making Memories on Monday

I used the Broadway Bound Suite for my scrapbook pages.  The suite includes the Broadway Birthday stamp set and the Broadway Lights framelits which when purchased together now gets you 10% off.  Both are available in the new catalog set to release June 4 but not at the 10% off. I used the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) and mounted everything on 12 x 12 Gray Granite cardstock.

I will go back and journal the pages. I know the pictures and the colors are not perfectly coordinated but it was fun to do anyway! These pictures were taken last year! I always scrapbook about one year behind.

This is our youngest son, Taylor, whose birthday we were celebrating. Actually, we were celebrating his and mine as they are on the same day!!! We surprised him with a trip to I.FLY. You get in a wind tube and fly. We all did it. It was different.  We all agreed it was okay but probably won't do it again. So, this was the card I made him. HA! He didn't quite get it. We basically had to tell him! The funny things I do to my kiddos!

I will be featuring the Broadway Bound Suite in a few other projects this week! Check back to see.

These quilts were made by members of our church and community and were dedicated yesterday at church. From here they will go all over the world through Lutheran World Relief. My mom is in the picture admiring all of them. She sewed many of the quilt tops.
Enjoy your Monday!

Blessings,
Tracy

Life

Sunday April 28, 2019

Wow! It's been a year since I posted on my blog! Life happens. Sometimes incredibly fast and often times not the way we expect it.

I haven't stopped paper crafting though! It is the best therapy. EVER. I have crafted through all the ups and downs.

My brother died in August 2018. He was 57 years old. My big brother by two years. He called me Tuesday, July 31, 2018.  He was in the hospital. I went right away to see him.  I spent the last week of his life with him. I was with him when he died. He was an alcoholic most of his adult life and had severe liver disease.  The grief at times has been overwhelming. I've had a lot of guilt and regrets. I'm choosing to focus on the good times we had together. The love we shared. The hope of seeing him in eternity and knowing he is at peace now.

We had a memorial service for him here at our house. My friend and fellow Stampin' Up demonstrator, Teresa, made the favors for me using the wood crate die. Then she came over and helped me bake my brother's (and mine!) favorite cookie, Date-Filled Cookies.  He received the nickname "SMOKE" from a few of his cousins so we added that to the tag. Well, Teresa added it!

I made cards for my family and friends who walked with me through this difficult time. Creating and sharing it with others was so helpful during my grief. I used the Hold on to Hope bundle. The sunburst came from another set that I borrowed from Teresa. It is retired now and I can not remember the name of it.  I embossed the sunburst in gold.

I hope to be more consistent with my blog, sharing my creations and my Stampin' Up! business. Do you know that 30 minutes of crafting releases the same amount of endorphins that 30 minutes of exercise does?! YEA! Craft and feel good too! I know it has been good for me!

Blessings,
Tracy
