Thinking of You

I recently took an inventory of my DSP (Designer Series Paper) and did a bit of a reorganization. It was actually fun and quite helpful. I got rid of just a little bit, have grand plans to use more and have not purchased anymore!!! Well, that isn't true...I did purchase the current Product of the Month which is DSP! 😂

With all that said here is my card for today.

I used DSP from Bloom Impressions (SAB '25), Sunny Days (SAB '24) and Whispering Woods (available Sept. 1)! The sentiment is from Happy Thoughts ('21) which I stamped and cut out with a Something Fancy die. The ribbon is  long retired. I finished it off with a few shiny gems.

My inspiration for this card came from (besides the DSP!) the Paper Players color challenge this week.

I used Pretty Peacock, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake and Poppy Parade.

We recently had Sweet P and Weston. We take them for a walk around a pond near our home.  While we were walking Sweet P exclaims, "I just love the dirt!" and plops down and starts playing in the dirt and gravel! 😂 Of course, little brother thinks that is great also!

Fun times!

Congratulations!

It's a beautiful Saturday here on the farm! We had a few very HOT and SMOKY days this week but the wind has been in our favor and has blown the smoke back to the east. I am terribly sorry for all those affected by the fires in Oregon and across the US. My prayers are with all!

We have a wedding reception to attend this afternoon. I made this card for the young couple.

I used the Nature's Sweetness DSP. The focal image is cut from the DSP! I didn't know, or don't remember, the dies cutting those images. I could have stamped that image but I let the paper do the heavy lifting! I used a piece of the two tone Early Espresso cardstock and ran it through the Textured Tree Ring EF and then sanded it a bit. I embossed the sentiment with Copper embossing powder and have copper and linen thread behind it. Everything went on a Pecan Pie card base.

I see JUGS wants dies this week.

And Can You Handle the Pressure has an option of "Tie it Up" use ribbon, twine, thread, etc.

So, off this card goes to two galleries and off we go to a party!

HELLO

I've been working/playing with retired DSP in my quest to use up my stash. Ha! I'm happy to say I will be playing for years to meet this goal!

Today's card uses the Delightfully Eclectic DSP and the Just My Type stamp set.

I was inspired by the CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch #574 from last week:

Isn't this a great sketch?! I have plans for it!

Last week we got to spend the day with the youngest grandson, Ivan, who is 10-1/2 months BIG! I don't have favorites, you know, but I must say this little guy is a breeze to be with. Easy going. He reminds me a lot of our youngest son...Ivan's daddy!

You are CLAW-SOME!

Hello, Crafty Friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a fabulous week...the last week of JULY!

Today's card is just simple and sweet.

I inked up  "Newton" from NND's Kitten Beach colored him, his sand bucket and his CLAW-SOME friend with some alcohol markers and then popped him up and onto NND's Bright Basics paper! The sentiment is from the same set. This card is for the NND's current challenge.

This past weekend our oldest granddaughter, Paisley, was in her hometown parade walking with her gymnastic group. Of course we were there watching!

Christmastime!

 Hello, Crafty Friends!

It's been another hot minute since I have posted but so much fun has been had in between posts. All is well!

Today's card happened to be an unexpected Christmas in July card. I am not one to do Christmas in July cards but there's always a first!

I wanted to play along with the Color Hues Challenge.

I used the Festive Friends for that adorable Santa and the tag. The sentiment is from A Little Cheer. I don't know the name of the paper pack that the FA LA LA is from but the dotted black is from the Artisan Sketched Garden which I am loving!

We went glamping with our kids and grandkids...Cousin Camp was a huge success!!! It was our first time doing this with the whole crew. We stayed at a KOA along the Oregon Coast. The families stayed in cabins and Popi and I stayed in our RV. Everyone had a great time! There were activities for the kids, playgrounds and swimming pools. The weather was perfect. Here's just a few photos!

Okay, I got a little carried away! lol!

Thinking of You

Happy last Saturday of June! Here is my card for today.

I wanted to play along with the color challenge at Color Hues

I cut out some black butterflies using the dies from Build a Butterfly. I used a piece of DSP from Lighter than Air and added a few black gems. The sentiment is from Go To Greetings.

We just got back from a short glamping trip. We joined my cousin and her husband for a few days and had a wonderful time! The hubs and I biked and got a hike in!

Sunshine and Rainbows

Today's card is bringing you sunshine and rainbows!

I used a piece of the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP (retired) on a Pool Party cardbase and added the sentiment from Just my Type (retired). The sentiment was stamped on a piece of Magenta Madness cardstock. Remember that bright bold color?! I actually liked it and have just a few scraps left. I finished the card with a few bright pink gems.

I'm playing along with the challenge at the Paper Players this week.

Red Tulips

Welcome to a new week! Summer has arrived here in the PNW and it is going to be HOT for a few days! So, as I officially said goodbye to spring I colored the tulips from SU!'s Mixed Florals red.

I colored the small flowers with Misty Moonlight and used Granny Apple Green for the foliage. I used the Perennial Postage dies to cut them and the mat out with. I haven't used these dies very often. I liked the look and didn't add any sentiment or embellishments. I just want the tulips to shine.

Friday we had Little Miss (Autumn) and Big Guy (Ivan). We took them to the Bike Rodeo our church hosts during our town's celebration. Autumn did well overall. She decorated her trike a bit and then wanted to play in the park. lol! I thought that was age appropriate. I didn't get a picture of her completed trike though.

Ivan is getting so big! He is the sweetest.best.baby.ever!

A Shaped Card

 Happy Saturday!

I made a shaped card! I do believe this is a first for me. I have been wanting to but just never got around to it.

It was easy peasy! I also have been wanting to color these tulips from Mixed Florals since spring began and now here it is summer! It's never too late for tulips though!

I got my inspiration from the Moodboard at JUGS. All those beautful flowers! Although I don't think there is a tulip in the picture! lol!

And my color inspiration came from the As You See It challenge.

I used those colors and added a little Granny Apple Green to my Lemon Lime Twist because, you know how LLT is! IYKYK! The tulips are Melon Mambo but to me they look a bit red in the photograph. I want to color them in red next! lol!

Celebrate

Well, hello crafty friends! It's been a hot minute (over a month!) since I've blogged. I do have a card to share today and it fits two challenges! Yea!

First up is The Paper Players challenge where they have a color challenge.

And I used this week's  Freshly Made Sketch.

I used a Basic White card base.  The rectangles were cut using the die from All That. The DSP is from Masterfully Made and that color is Lemon Lime Twist. I don't think Lemon Lime Twist photographs well! The butterflies were cut from the Sketched Butterflies dies and my sentiment is from the Banner Sayings bundle.

It's been a couple weeks since we returned from a glamping trip to California where we enjoyed biking along Monterey Bay.

And hiking through Pinnacles National Park.

Thanks

Happy Fri-yay! Today is starting early and will be a full day with two of the grandchildren here with us. I do have a card to share though.

I used the Florals in Bloom DSP again today and the Pretty Florals dies. For my sentiment I went back a few years to my Well Said dies. And because I used a die cut sentiment I am playing along with JUGS this week!

Make it a great day, my friends!

Hello

Hello, my friends! Here is today's card albeit later than normal.

Yea for gorgeous paper that does all the work. I used a piece of Florals in Bloom DSP and matted it on Basic White and adhered it to a Granny Apple Green card base. The Blackberry Bliss flower is from the Pretty Florals dies with the contrasting piece in Fresh Freesia. The sentiment is from Sweet Blooms stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink.

I'm happy to be playing along at the SUOC #400 where they are CASE-ing Designer Cindy Coutts.

I'm off to make a few more cards using this design! Love it!

You're the sweetest

I had to play along with the CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch this week.

Here's what I came up with:

I've just been loving those little Storybook Friends critters recently. I used one of the frame dies from the same set and cut it using the Earthen Toned Metallic paper and popped those little rabbits on it. The DSP is from Storybook Moments and the card base is...drum roll please...Wild Wheat! 😂 You either loved or hated that color! Well, I didn't love it or hate it but I did find a place for it in my papercrafting. The sentiment is from Banner Sayings.  I do love that stamp set!

That's it for me today.

Happy Birthday

I don't know who I am going to give today's card to. lol! I made it for a color challenge my upline's stamping group has right now.

Can you guess the colors for the challenge?!  Black. Crushed Curry. Strawberry Slush. I punched out a few circles and ran them through the Plaster Painting EF.  The image is from Nice & Easy Notes and makes me happy. It's another old and beloved stamp set.  I finished the card by adding a few Strawberry Slush gems.

I'm going to post this over at Seize the Birthday #325 for Anything Goes.
