Thanks

Happy Fri-yay! Today is starting early and will be a full day with two of the grandchildren here with us. I do have a card to share though.

I used the Florals in Bloom DSP again today and the Pretty Florals dies. For my sentiment I went back a few years to my Well Said dies. And because I used a die cut sentiment I am playing along with JUGS this week!

Make it a great day, my friends!

Hello

Hello, my friends! Here is today's card albeit later than normal.

Yea for gorgeous paper that does all the work. I used a piece of Florals in Bloom DSP and matted it on Basic White and adhered it to a Granny Apple Green card base. The Blackberry Bliss flower is from the Pretty Florals dies with the contrasting piece in Fresh Freesia. The sentiment is from Sweet Blooms stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink.

I'm happy to be playing along at the SUOC #400 where they are CASE-ing Designer Cindy Coutts.

I'm off to make a few more cards using this design! Love it!

You're the sweetest

I had to play along with the CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch this week.

Here's what I came up with:

I've just been loving those little Storybook Friends critters recently. I used one of the frame dies from the same set and cut it using the Earthen Toned Metallic paper and popped those little rabbits on it. The DSP is from Storybook Moments and the card base is...drum roll please...Wild Wheat! 😂 You either loved or hated that color! Well, I didn't love it or hate it but I did find a place for it in my papercrafting. The sentiment is from Banner Sayings.  I do love that stamp set!

That's it for me today.

Happy Birthday

I don't know who I am going to give today's card to. lol! I made it for a color challenge my upline's stamping group has right now.

Can you guess the colors for the challenge?!  Black. Crushed Curry. Strawberry Slush. I punched out a few circles and ran them through the Plaster Painting EF.  The image is from Nice & Easy Notes and makes me happy. It's another old and beloved stamp set.  I finished the card by adding a few Strawberry Slush gems.

I'm going to post this over at Seize the Birthday #325 for Anything Goes.

Happy Mother's Day

Thank goodness for a new month and a new week.  April ended with me and the hubs pretty sick. The hubs is a few days behind me in getting well but I think/hope he is over the worse! Let's just say we had a super cold.

I was able to get back in the studio yesterday afternoon and I completed a lot of unfinished projects! Do you know how wonderful that feels?! Just fabulous!

I went very simple for today's card and sometimes it just feels good to keep it simple especially when life packs a punch. I used my old and beloved Sweet and Simple Salutations and cut out the image using a Spotlight on Nature die. I used a piece of DSP from the Floral Impressions, some white seam binding and put it all on a Strawberry Slush card base. I added a few of the white butterflies from the new '26-28 In Color Butterflies.

I'm playing along with The Paper Players challenge this week where they are looking for "Feminine".

I came across this sweet photo of our neighborhood geese family.

I think this is the first time I've seen goslings...I've seen lots of ducklings over the years but never the goslings. I guess the geese are making themselves at home.

Keep Looking Up

Today's card uses the Silly Old Bear Suite collection of products minus the embossing folder and a couple new In Colors coming in May.

The Peaceful Pine color doesn't look like that in real...light issues I'm assuming.

Anyways, I wanted to play along with the Paper Players Challege this week.

I couldn't pass by Piglet. As for Clean-and-Simple it's about as good as I can do! lol!

Well, the little grands managed to share their germs with me.  Bummer. Last week got more stressful as our oldest son had an abscess/infection under his arm. Thankfully it responded to antibiotics but he did have to have it drained.

We are glamping this week. Today is rainy and windy so it's a good day to relax, blow my nose and do a little crafting. Yesterday we made the most of the nice weather and hiked and biked! Here's a couple pictures. Does anyone know where we are?!

Thank you

Well, my week isn't going as planned...we have a couple sick grandchildren. We watched Ivan yesterday who was struggling with a cold. Today and for the rest of the week we have Weston who has pneumonia. I'm beginning to wonder if blogging is for me...no time.

I did make a card in between watching Ivan. He is still little enough and got to sit in my studio.

I had pulled out my Storybook Moments DSP and had bits and pieces in there and put this card together. I used a Basic Beige card base and embossed another piece with the Exposed Brick EF. I really like the Banner Sayings bundle which is where the sentiment came from. I still have Storybook Moments paper spread out. I don't have much left and would love to use it up! My Silly Old Bear Suite arrived today. Pooh is in the house and I'm looking forward to having a play with those products...which I was NOT going to buy. 🤣 🤣🤣

Here's Ivan hanging out in my studio.

Not sure when I'll be able to post again.

Hi, Friend

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. I had my crafty day with my crafty friends on Saturday. My BCFF (Best Crafting FriendForever) and SU! Upline shared the make-n-take. I wanted to share it here because it's so cute!

We used the Bloom Boutique DSP (coming May 5) and did some origami folding to get this cute little heart pouch. It holds a Ghirardelli chocolate square but I have a Bouchard chocolate in it. The oval die is from the Scalloped Wishes dies which are out of stock for the next month. 😠 We used the Daisy EF for the center of the oval. Cute idea. The little flowers are cut from the two tone cardstock in Crisp Cantaloupe and Hydrangea Hue using the  ??? not sure if it was Heirloom Boutique or Boutique Blossoms dies or neither. Just use a little die cut flower.

Anyways, I thought it was fun and cute. I don't know where she got the idea but I'm glad she shared it with us and I am definitely going to make more of these!

Last week the hubs and I biked the Spring Water Corridor. It was okay. We're glad we did it but have no desire to do it again. Here's a couple pics.

It took us right down to the Willamette River in Portland.

Chapter One

No challenges today just a card.

I colored the image from Unity's Chapter One stamp set using my SU! Blends. I matted it onto the dark side of Berry Burst two tone cardstock. I covered the card front using Unbounded Beauty DSP. A few sparkle gems completed the card.

Purr-fectly

Have you ever made a card and then wanted to make like a dozen more because it was so fun and so cute?! Today's card is one of those cards for me.

This little fur baby makes me smile! And I just may make a dozen more! The kitty and sentiment stamps are from Unity's February KOM. I colored her using my SU! Blends and used a NND's oval die. The pretty musical note paper is from my stash. Everything went on an Azure Afternoon card base.

I'm playing along with the sketch from Sunday Stamps and The Paper Players Tic Tac Toe Challenge #779. I used the top row across and quite a few other elements on the board.

Well, I have a few more little Easter baskets to make today for my Bible study besties so I'd better set aside coloring kitties and get to work! It's a rainy day here so it's perfect for being in the studio!

Choose Gratitude

Sometimes it's hard to choose gratitude over grumbling or gratitude over envy or gratitude over anger. Today's card came together as a reminder to myself to always choose gratitude.

My card base is Petunia Pop...I have maybe 1-1/2 pieces left of this color. It's retiring. Do I buy another package? It may be gone by the time I place an order. It's been one of my favorites though. I used the Cute as Can Bee DSP...I still have quite a few pages left of it which would justify another package of Petunia Pop. I could use other coordinating colors of cardstock with it though. Hmmm.

The sentiment and bee are from SU!'s Choose Happy which is 2 years old already!  I am using the sketch from Retro Rubber Challenge 268.

Spring

Spring is in full bloom where I live! Daffodils and tulips are blooming, trees are blossoming, the grass is green and the temperature was in the upper 60's for a few days! Here's today's card welcoming spring.

I used the Easter Joy DSP. The stamped images and sentiment are from the Easter Basket bundle. The circles are cut from the Stylish Shapes dies. The card base is Balmy Blue and the center strip is embossed with the Lovely Stripes EF.

I'm using the CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch #557.

I hope everyone has had a fabulous weekend! We got back from our glamping trip although I wasn't ready to come home. It was so lovely.

It's lovely here too and we are heading over to our friends this evening for dinner and a game. Should be fun!

Hello

Hello, Friends! It's mid week and I have a card to share.

I used a Berry Burst card base and added a layer of Unbounded Beauty DSP and a banner strip using the same DSP.  I stamped the focal image flower from Flowers of Beauty using Petunia Pop ink and cut it with the coordinating die. I cut the little flowers and the foliage from the same set of dies. The sentiment is from Unbounded Love.

I am playing along with the sketch from The Paper Players this week.

We are spending the week along the Oregon Coast...glamping! Yesterday we had a wonderful day relaxing while it rained and the wind blew! This morning the weather was lovely and we had a great walk...before the rain came in.

Everyday Details

Happy Fri-yay! I am happy to be on this side of the week. We had two little ones yesterday and all went well but this Gigi is tired.  I am looking forward to a week off. It is spring break here and the littles will be with their parents. Yea!

Here's today's card.

The image is from Everyday Details.  I used my watercolor pencils and Blender pens to color it. I haven't used them for awhile. I cut the image using the Everyday Details dies. They have all those tiny little holes which means tiny little paper dots all over. I used the Textured Notes die to cut a Daffodil Delight rectangular mat and it all went on a Secret Sea card base. Secret Sea is beautiful with so many colors! Love it!

I'm playing along with The Paper Players challenge #777.

Paisley found the tiniest snail on our walk. She has such a good eye and I love that she loves nature! I have never seen a such a small snail.

Hello, Spring

I got a card made this evening! I had baby on Monday. The good baby who decides he doesn't like cutting two teeth and was fussy! The big baby who I really can't pack and bounce around. He is 22.5 lbs at 6 months! And the hubs has been down in his back and was no help at all. 😑 I might be a bit fussy myself!  Making a card was good thing to do.

I used the Stampin' Up Only Challenge as my spring board for this card.

I CASE'd the "To the Happy Couple" card. I used Shy Shamrock for a card base and the Easter Joy DSP. I colored and cut the bunny, carrot and the eggs and layered them on. I added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies.

That's it for now. We have had gorgeous weather. Like warm! in the 60's! I had to get out this afternoon and ride my bike. Mt. Hood was looking pretty.

And here's a picture of the baby. I did get a smile. He may or may not have a runny nose. Don't look closely. When you fuss and cry your nose runs!

He is pretty cute! 😍

Let Joy Bloom

It's Fri-yay! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend ahead! Here's today's card.

I used the CASE-ing Tuesday #555 Sketch for this one.

I had the Sweet Blooms stamp set and the Pretty Florals DSP out as I was prepping for the make-n-take I am going to share on Saturday with my crafty friends. You can see the card I'm doing for that here.  I pulled a few things together and made this card for the sketch.

I used Strawberry Slush for the card base and Strawberry Slush two-tone cardstock for the 'bloom'. I adhered the sentiments onto a strip of Darling Duckling two-tone cardstock and finished it off with a few of the 25-27 In Color Flat Pearls. Easy peasy.

And then I came back to the studio and made another one!

I embossed the strip that the sentiment is on and I think I like that look better. What do you think?

In Springtime

Time (and energy) was limited yesterday as we watched Autumn (our 3 year old granddaughter) but I put together this quick card last night with some papers from Unity.

I used Pecan Pie as the card base and inked the edges of the pretty paper with Pecan Pie, added some ribbon from my stash and a little gold butterfly.

We managed to get outside between rain showers yesterday. Autumn is starting to get the hang of pedaling!

Have a Magical Day!

Okay, fine. I might have had a little bit of fun creating this card! 😊

I had rainbow colors on my mind from this week's Paper Players challenge and I was bummed I didn't get to play along with their challenge of Mythical Creatures last week. But it's never to late to create and I put things together and created this card for today.

My card base is the lovely Orchid Oasis (retired).  I used a Lawn Fawn star stencil and a rainbow of colors to create the background on a piece of Highland Heather two-tone cardstock.  I created the rainbow with the Stitched Rainbow dies (Lawn Fawn?). The unicorns and fairies are from Lawn Fawn's Unicorn Picnic along with the 'magical day' sentiment. The 'you are so awesome' sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Simply Celebrate Critters (which I'm excited to use this set again!).

Those fairies are tiny but the fairy wand is tinier and almost had me beat! I'm not sure you can even see the wand! 😂 It's there though!

So I'm playing along with the Paper Players again today!

I hope you all have a Magical Day!
