It's SALE-a-bration!

 Monday, September 27, 2021

Just a reminder you have through Thursday, September 30 to claim any of the SALE-a-bration items with either a $50 or $100 purchase.

I made this card using the SALE-a-bration set, Delicate Dahlias.

Y'all are probably getting tired of seeing projects made with SALE-a-bration sets! I've enjoyed using the products as I only share them for a short period of time! I hope you have some favorites from this round of SALE-a-bration!

Card Details:

  • A2 card base in Thick Basic White
  • Basic Black 3-1/4" x 5-1/2"
  • Basic White 3" x 5-1/2" stamp the outline image in either Black or Blackberry Bliss, both colors work really well. Then stamp the fill image in Polished Pink or a pink of your choice. I love the black and pink color combination!
  • I stamped the speckles from the Color and Contour stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink stamped off once.
  • Adhere the Basic White piece to the Basic Black piece
  • Add a piece of the Black and White Gingham Ribbon; adhere to card base
  • Stamp sentiment; use the Warm Wraps dies to cut out the sentiment and the Basic Black circle; adhere with dimensionals
I hope you enjoyed today's project. The Farmer and I have been on a road trip to see the five National Parks in Utah. It has been a wonderful trip! I'm out of Studio 1.15 for a few more days but am looking forward to doing a FB Live on Saturday, October 2...World Card Making Day!!! And for sure if you want to place an order to receive your SALE-a-bration sets do so by Thursday, September 30! If you have any questions I am happy to help you.

Happy Stamping!

Counting Sheep

 Saturday, September 25, 2021

Counting sheep did not help me get back to sleep early this morning (days before this posted) so I got up and started creating. I love my early morning creativity time. Jake, our dog, is barking so he must not be able to sleep either! There must be a lot going on out there that he needs to bark at! LOL!

Today's card features the SALE-a-bration stamp set, Counting Sheep, along with the coordinating Sheep dies and the Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper.  Only 5 days left of SALE-a-bration!

 Card Details:

  • A2 card base in Thick Basic White
  • 1" x 4" strips of the DSP; adhere to card base
  • 1/2" x 4-1/4" strip of Just Jade cardstock; run through the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder
  • Stamp the sheep in Memento Tuxedo Black ink; use Layering Circle dies to cut out; color with Stampin' Blends in Light Basic Black, Light and Dark Smoky Slate; adhere to scalloped circle
  • Cut a scalloped laying circle in Misty Moonlight; adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Cut a banner in Misty Moonlight and Fresh Freesia; adhere on with a mini dimensional to the card base and the other one with a glue dot

I am going to enter this card in the Try Stamping on Tuesday sketch challenge. Check out the projects there for more inspiration! I hope it inspires you to make a card, too!

A Beautifully Penned Tent Box

 Thursday, September 23, 2021

Hello, my friends! I hope your week is going well. Today's project is a tent box I CASE'd from Sam Donaldson, a UK Stampin' Up! demonstrator. You can get the directions from her here:  https://youtu.be/2uQSP6ae6j0

And here is my tent box:

I used the SALE-a-bration Beautifully Penned DSP for my box. I do believe this is the first time I've made such a box. I liked the lighter weight of the DSP vs. using cardstock for the base.

This is the "tent" cover. The sentiment is from the In Symmetry stamp set and is stamped in Blackberry Bliss. I used theTasteful Labels dies to cut it out and a scalloped circle in Blackberry Bliss for layering. I used the Dragonflies Punch to punch the small dragonfly out of the SALE-a-bration Be Dazzling Specialty Paper. Note: it is really hard to punch out of the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper! I was able to do it with the punch sitting on the counter.

This is the bag part of the project. The tent cover slides over it. Pretty clever! Excited to fill it with goodies!

Happy Stamping!

Your Friendship

 Wednesday, September 22, 2021

Today's card features the SALE-a-bration stamp set, Feels Like Home. A few weeks ago I made this card here.  And here is today's card:

I used the Stampin' Blends to color this beautiful front porch. These are the colors I used:

  • Light Bermuda Bay
  • Light and Dark Cajun Craze
  • Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler
  • Light and Dark Crumb Cake
  • Dark Daffodil Delight
  • Dark Fresh Freesia
  • Dark Mango Melody
  • Light Mossy Meadow
  • Light Old Olive
I know...I can't believe I used all those colors for such a simple little card! But I did and I love how it turned out! My inspiration was my son and daughter-in-law's front door! It is red. So I started there and went with it.

I hope you enjoyed today's project. And yes, your friendship feels like home to me!

You're My Cup of Tea!

 Saturday, September 18, 2021

True confessions...I am not a coffee drinker. None. Ever. I'm sure I could come to like it with all the yummy syrups, creams, etc. added but I'm not about to start! But...I love tea! I could drink tea every day all day. I don't though. It is a special treat a few times a week. I love a good tea latte! I love Earl Grey, Lady Grey, Constant Comment, Chamomile, etc! Ahhhh, so good!

Today's projects:

The card and the cup wrap use the Brew Some Fun stamp set, Warm Wraps dies and the SALE-a-bration Peaceful Prints DSP. Pretty cool, eh?!

I'm not sure I like the colors I used for the cup wrap. It gives the look that I need to fill it with red and black licorice and add a Licorice Spice tea bag to it! LOL! Which I just may do! Now, who of my friends like black and red licorice?!!

Super simple card! I love that the DSP Stampin' Up! has can make a card!  Cut out, adhere, add sentiment, ribbon and a few gems! Boom! It is that easy!

I hope y'all have a great weekend! Fall is literally around the corner!!! Enjoy this last weekend of summer!

Happy Stamping!

Brew Some Birthday Fun!

 Thursday, September 16, 2021

Today's cards feature a masculine and feminine version using the Brew Some Fun stamp set and the SALE-a-bration Peaceful Prints DSP.  I wanted to mention that the DSP coordinates with the Peaceful Deer bundle in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog (page 26). The Deer Builder Punch will punch out the deer on the DSP. You might want to check that out!

Here is the masculine version of the card:

  • A2 card base in Garden Green (I haven't used this color for awhile!)
  • Peaceful Prints DSP 4" x 5-1/4" adhere to card base
  • Stitched Rectangle dies in Garden Green and Basic White
  • On the Basic White stitched rectangle stamp the coffee cup in Early Espresso. Add dots to the white space using an Earl Espresso Stampin' Write Marker.  Adhere to the Garden Green rectangle. Wrap a piece of the Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim around and secure. Adhere to cardbase using dimensionals.
  • Stamp sentiment in Early Espresso. Use Warm Wraps dies to cut it and a piece of Early Espresso cardstock. Adhere then adhere to card base using dimensionals.
  • Adhere three Brushed Metallic dots to sentiment
And here is the feminine version:

The card base in Sahara Sand (I love that color and don't use it enough!). I just switched up the DSP and added the red scalloped rectangle cut from the Scalloped Contours dies. The heart is stamped and cut out with the heart die from the Warm Wraps dies. You could easily add a gift card from the recipients favorite coffee spot and make this a fun birthday card for someone!

A Peaceful Prints Bag

 Wednesday, September 15, 2021

Wow! We are half way through September already! SALE-a-bration ends in two weeks!

Today I made a miniature of this project https://studio115designs.blogspot.com/2021/07/its-bag.html

I used the SALE-a-bration Peaceful Prints DSP to make this bag:

I CASE'd the directions from Sam Donaldson a SU! demonstrator in the United Kingdom. You can follow her directions here: https://youtu.be/fp-9hRk8pwA   As you can see I changed it up a bit and that is the beauty of CASE-ing a project! You make it your own! I have plans to make quite a few of these for holding little treats this fall!

Happy Stamping!

Let's Brew Some Fun!

 Tuesday, September 14, 2021

This week my projects are featuring the stamp set Brew Some Fun and the SALE-a-bration Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper. SALE-a-bration goes through September 30 and this paper is available with a $50 purchase. There are many other SALE-a-bration items available to choose from so be sure to check them all out!  Here's today's card:

I wanted to show how to use the DSP that appears to be mainly holiday-ish in a non-holiday way. What do you think?

Card Details:

  • Card base 4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2" in Real Red
  • DSP 4" x 5-1/4" adhere to card base
  • Scalloped Contours dies use second largest scalloped rectangle. Cut out in Real Red
  • Basic White 2-9/16" x 3-7/8" stamp coffee cup in Early Espresso. Using an Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker make little dots to fill in white space. Adhere to scalloped rectangle.
  • Stamp sentiment in Early Espresso masking the hearts and using a Real Red Stampin' Write marker on the hearts; use the Warm Wraps dies to cut. Cut a circle from Real Red using the Warm Wraps dies. Adhere sentiment.
  • Cut a piece of Early Espresso 1/4" Faux Suede Trim; adhere to sentiment; adhere sentiment to card base using dimensionals.
Here is another one I did in a more masculine style.

The card base is Early Espresso. I flipped the DSP to the other side. I stamped my images on Very Vanilla and adhered the sentiment to a circle of Misty Moonlight.  These cards don't look "holiday" to me! Have fun creating your holiday or not-so-holiday projects using the Peaceful Prints DSP!

Celebrate Sunflowers

 Thursday, September 9, 2021

I am loving the Celebrate Sunflowers and the Sunflowers dies! It is just such a classic set and those big, bright sunflowers make me happy! I was so excited to make today's card!

I have been wanting to use this pattern paper from the In Good Taste DSP since I got it awhile back! I love it paired with the sunny, yellow sunflower!

Card Details:

  • A2 card base in Misty Moonlight
  • In Good Taste DSP 4" x 5-1/4" and 1-1/2" x 4" adhere to card base
  • Basic White 7/8" x 3-3/4" stamp sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink; use the Banners Pick a Punch to flag one end; adhere to card base
  • Stamp large sunflower in Crushed Curry ink onto Daffodil Delight cardstock; cut out with die
  • Cut sunflower outline out using Daffodil Delight; adhere to sunflower
  • Cut the center and the center of the sunflower outline die in Cajun Craze; adhere to sunflower. I used a dimensional to adhere to center.
  • Adhere the sunflower to the card base with dimensionals
  • Stamp the leaf in Pear Pizzazz onto Pear Pizzazz cardstock; cut out with die
  • Cut the leaf outline in Old Olive; adhere to leaf; adhere leaves to card base using glue dots
Now I want to go pick a big bunch of sunflowers!

Hand-Penned Petals

 Wednesday, September 8, 2021

I wanted to catch up with myself...I made a few more cards last week using the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle that never got posted.  You can see the first one here:

https://studio115designs.blogspot.com/2021/09/a-dog-cat-and-card.html

I stepped these up a bit:

I used Polished Pink and the Beautifully Penned DSP which is a SALE-a-bration item.

This one features Fresh Freesia.

And the final one uses Pale Papaya. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Peaceful Moments. I am loving that stamp set for sentiments!

Happy Stamping!

A Be Dazzling Sunflower!

 Wednesday, September 8, 2021

Hello, my friends! I am back in Studio 1.15 after being out last week helping my friend. So happy to be home! I loved the lake, the change of pace and being with my friend and her pets but there is no place like home!

Today's card I made on my Facebook Live yesterday. You can see the replay here: https://fb.watch/7UCJeWntgi/  How do you like that sparkle?!

Card Details:
  • A2 Card base in Basic Black
  • I used the largest scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Contour dies to cut the Be Dazzling Specialty paper which is a SALE-a-bration item. Adhere to card base.
  • The sentiment is from  Many Happenings stamped in Versamark and embossed with Silver embossing powder
  • Using the Celebrate Sunflowers and the Sunflower dies: stamp the large sunflower onto the Fluid 100 Watercolor paper in Magenta Madness ink. Spritz with water then using a Water Painter blend the ink around the sunflower. You can add ink as you like.  Set aside to dry. When dry use die to cut out.
  • Cut the outline sunflower from Magenta Madness. Adhere to sunflower.
  • Adhere sunflower to card base with dimensionals; adhere sentiment to card base with dimensionals.
  • For the inside I stamped off the large sunflower twice and then stamped on a piece of Basic White cardstock (3-1/2" x 5") for a watermark look.  Loved the look!
Here is another one I did using Bermuda Bay ink. I just might make a few more of these in different BRIGHT colors! So fun and cheery...and SPARKLY!

Happy Stamping!

A dog, a cat and a card!

 Thursday, September 2, 2021

Here are the girls I'm hanging out with this week:

This is Posey the cute little 8 month old miniature Huskey/Pomaranian. The two of us have been having lots of fun taking walks and hanging out together. She helped me fold the laundry. LOL! Let's just say it made me laugh because she is so cute but she really wasn't much help!

And here is the queen, Elizabeth. She's mellow and tells me what to do! LOL! At 17 years old,  I guess she has the seniority to boss me around.

And here is the card:

I thought my friend would appreciate it after her hip surgery.

Card Details:
  • A2 card base in Polished Pink cardstock
  • 4" x 5-1/4" Basic white
  • Hand Penned stamp set; I used the Stamparatus and positioned the stamp at a diagonal. I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. It overlaps in the center but it won't show after the sentiment is on. Stamp the flower fill in with Polished Pink ink.
  • Using the Layering Circles cut out two scalloped circles in Basic White and Evening Evergreen
  • Stamp the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink; adhere to laying circle
  • Cut about 14" of Evening Evergreen 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon; make loops and adhere to back of circles
  • Add dimensionals to the circle and adhere to card base
Happy Stamping!

Another Cute Bag/Box!

 Wednesday, September 1, 2021

Wow! A new month! September is always such a full month and this one is starting out very full! I'm in a new location this week. Check it out:

Gorgeous! My view for at least the week! I am helping a friend out. She is having her hip replaced today and I am sitting with the pets: Elizabeth the 17 year old cat who is Queen of the roost and Posey the 8 month old miniature Huskey/Pomaranian sweetie! I will stay on and help my friend when she gets home. Unfortunately, I did not have my blog/FB posts done ahead so I am working a step or two behind! I'll see what I can get in this week. I'm going to work hard today and hopefully get my projects made and scheduled! HA! Have stamps will travel! Thankfully I am within 35 minutes from home! LOL!

So, here are the boxes from Tuesday's FB Live:

And here are the dimensions:

  • Beautifully Penned DSP  6" x 12"
  • Score on the 6" side at 2"
  • Score on the 12" side at: 2-7/8"; 5-3/4"; 8-5/8"; 11-1/2"
  • I used the Layering Circle dies to cut the Be Dazzling Specialty paper and Basic White
  • I used Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay inks
  • The sentiment is from the Lovely You stamp set
You can watch the FB Live replay here: https://fb.watch/7Lo-XI7MbF/
