Friend

Today's card ended up being harder than I anticipated even though there isn't much to complicate. LOL!

I used the Calming Camellia stamp set. It is a Disinktive stamp that came and went in 2022.  I'm not sure it was stamping correctly??  Maybe the ink pad was too juicy?? Maybe it was operator error?? 😅 Anyways, I used Pretty in Pink for my card base and enjoyed using the Scallop Contours dies. I colored the leaves using watercolor pencils and a blender pen...I think that is what hung me up. 😉

I played along with two challenges for this card. SUO Challenges #394 has this pretty inspiration photo. It's where the pink, white and flowers came in for my card.

The Retro Rubber Challenge #265 has a tic tac toe board.

I went with the diagonal of gems, your choice (watercolor pencils) and die cut.

The last two days have been absolutely beautiful here! We did a bike ride yesterday with our friends and today we had these two little ones!

We visited their great grandma today (my mom). I realized the quilt they are on was made by my great grandma...their great great great grandma! That is so neat! I have loved this quilt since I was a wee one. So special! ❤

Thinking of You

Well, it is still Monday and I am going to share this card with you before I call it a day!

I combined two challenges to make this card. The Paper Players #772 has a color challenge this week.

I combined these colors with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #668.

I embossed the little squares with the Timber EF. I cut my landscape pieces using the Scenic Adventure dies. The sentiment is from one in stash. I added a few gems and it all went on a Basic Beige mat and card base.

You're All Heart

It's Fri-yay! I hope everyone had a fabulous week and have a wonderful weekend planned! Maybe a Super Bowl party?! Or just Super Bowl food?! I'm all for the food! Not so much the game.

Today's card isn't a turtle. I ran out of steam yesterday so I just made a rather quick and easy card.

I pulled out Modern Heart that's probably from 2019?? I used DSP from Unbounded Beauty and A Little Bit Festive. I added a few gold hearts but that one just looks dark to me. Hmmm. Lighting.

Anyways, I wanted to use the sketch from the Retro Rubber Challenge #264.

And the color challenge from The Color Hues Challenge #126.

That's it for me this week!

I Love You/Turtle-y Awesome #3

This card made me laugh while I was assembling it.

This is going to be the hub's Valentine card. I was laughing because this is a caricature of us...the hubs isn't a big swimmer so you would find him with swim fins, mask, life preserver, etc. I get sunburned or bit by a bug and swell up, turn red, etc. pretty much every trip we take. It's hilarious! IYKYK!

Again, I just used the DSP in this suite. The sentiment is from Bee My Valentine. I'm hoping it qualifies for the Paper Players Challenge #771.

Time to Celebrate!

 Today's card is Turtle-y Awesome card #2!

For this Turtle-y Awesome card I used a Granny Apple Green card base. I embossed a piece of Garden Green with the Turtle Textures EF. I used more of the DSP, Turtle-y Cute. I used one of my brand new Party Banner dies! 🎉 The banjo playing turtle I fussy cut from the DSP. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthdays (retired).

I used the Atlantic Hearts Challenge Sketch #677.

Yesterday we had  Sweet P.  We went from walking Jake to baking cupcakes.

Our little girl is growing up! So fun! ❤

Turtle-y Awesome!

I've been wanting to have a play with the Turtle-y Cute Suite. Today's card is the first of several I made. 🐢

I used the CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch #549.

The Turtle-y Cute DSP did all the work! I fussy cut the trike riding turtle from the paper! The sentiment is from the Turtle-y Awesome stamp set. I used a few Low Profile Sparkle Dots to finish it! Easy peasy, makes me smile and I have another birthday card ready to send off!

Happy Valentine's!

Happy Monday and Happy February! New month, new week, oh my! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine flew by. I cleaned up from glamping and just did some general cleaning. It did rain a bit over the weekend but if it continues to stay warm the hubs is going to have to mow the lawn again! 😎😄

Today's card was just a quick and fun card I did to post on Unity's Show and Tell FB page.

They were using this sketch.

The penguin is from Unity's Warm Hugs. I obviously didn't use the suggested color combo because you know Crafty girls do what they want! 😅

That's it for me today!

Thinking of You

Happy Fri-yay! I hope you all have had a fabulous week and have a wonderful weekend ahead!

Sorry, not sorry for having one more card with a bee on it this week! 😅 It was a glamping week and my supplies were limited but I made them work.  It was actually kind of fun creating with what I had packed.

I used the CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch #548 for this card.

I used the Cute as Can Bee DSP to do all the work. My sentiment is from the fabulous Go To Greetings and I stamped it in Petunia Pop ink.

That's it for me this week and this month!

More Treats

Wow! Just a few more days left of January! I wanted to make a card for the Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #248  this month and here it is.

They had a color challenge.

I embossed a piece of Basic White cardstock with my Paws EF. I added a strip of red spotty dots from NND's Bright Basics Paper Pad. I embossed the piece of purple cardstock with the Happy Heart EF. And the star of the card is this cute little fur baby from NND's Puppy's Reading List that I colored.

Yesterday we enjoyed a walk at a local park. We were right by the University of Oregon's Autzen Stadium where all the football games are played. Our kids are big Duck fans.

Make it a great day!

The One for Me

I have a few more bees for today's card!

I used the Cute as Can Bee DSP to do the bulk of the work on this card! I used a hexagon from the Meant to Bee dies cut from Petunia Pop cardstock. The sentiment is from the Bee My Valentine stamp set. I added quite a few sequins for some shimmer!

I used this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #666.

So, yesterday we enjoyed a rather long bike ride on the Row River Trail. It was a bit chilly, my hands and feet were cold for part of the time, but it was great! There are several covered bridges in this area. Very neat! And there were very few people!

Love You

We may just be glamping this week...because we can! I'm enjoying a lovely morning. I do have a card to share. I brought minimal supplies with me as we have minimal space!  I am challenging myself, in a fun way, to create and share this week with what I have.

The yellow gingham is from the Floral Designs DSP. I cut the sweet bee images from the Cute as Can Bee DSP and adhered them on a Bubble Bath punched bee body using the Bee Builder punch. (now that's a mouthful to say out loud! 😂) I added a few pink sequins from my stash.

I'm playing along with The Paper Players sketch this week.

Make it a great day!

Twinkle Heart

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I'm back today with a 'fairy' sweet card.

I used Unity's Twinkle Heart stamp set. I colored her using the Fresh Freesia Blends. There's quite a bit of Wink of Stella on her because of course she sparkles! I cut her out using an Everyday Arch die. The DSP is Masterfully Made and I used a piece of Petunia Pop glimmer paper. I stamped the sentiment using Berry Burst ink and embossed it with Clear embossing powder to make it shine. Everything went on a Fresh Freesia card base.

I made another one but switched up the colors.

This time I used Peach Pie.  I'm not sure which one I like better but leaning towards Fresh Freesia. Which one do you like best?

Our weekend was full of little ones. We had Paisley and Weston on Friday. This is what happens when your furniture becomes a playground:

And we had Autumn all day and night Saturday.

Yes, I was one tired Gigi last night!

Be Bold

It's Fri-yay! I hope everyone had a fabulous week and a weekend full of fun ahead! We have two grandkids today and one tomorrow. I will be busy!

I've concluded crafting challenges stress me out. They take me too long to do. I over think it. I don't fit into a sketch. My style is super simple. Etc. So here's my card for today.

I used Secret Sea for the card base. I embossed Pretty in Pink with a spotty dot EF. I added a strip of the Made with Love DSP and I cut a shimmery white banner using the Nested Essentials dies. The socks are from Unity's Sole Mates. It is one stamp but I cut them apart (because that's what this crafty chic does) and stamped them in Lemon Lime Twist, Strawberry Slush and Azure Afternoon. The sentiment is from the same set. It's also one stamp. I didn't cut the stamp apart but after I embossed it in white I cut them apart!

I tried to use the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #655.

Signs of Winter

The Paper Players challenge this week is looking for signs of winter. I wanted to make a card with a giant sunshine on it,  green grass, birds singing and my hubs mowing the lawn! We have had beautiful weather lately. Yes, it is freezing in the morning and the air is chilly but the sun is shining and the hubs really did mow the lawn including my mom's too!  Here's what I did instead:

I used my snowflake EF on Balmy Blue cardstock and ran Craft White ink acrossed it. I stamped the birds from Winerly Tree Tops and colored them with Blends. The sentiment is from the same set and I cut it with the tag from Snowflake Kisses. I cut a few evergreen sprigs from Pretty  Peacock.

What does winter look like in your neighborhood? The Redwing Blackbirds were singing here yesterday morning! It was delightful!

Go Wild!

Yesterday was fabulous as in I was able to do some crafting and hopefully I'll get some in today also! Here's today's card:

I used Silly Safari again along with the sketch from Sunday Stamps #377.

I had to rotate the sketch to fit my little characters. I used Berry Burst for the card base. I embossed a panel of shimmer paper with the Fern EF.  I added a strip of DSP from Masterfully Made (retired). I stamped the images and colored them with SU! Blends and used the 1-7/8" circle punch to punch them out. The monkey is popped up on dimensionals. I added a few gems to complete the card.

With You In Mind

At our January Crop earlier this month my BCFF (Best Crafting Friend Forever) and upline, Teresa, gave us a sampling of SU!'s December POM the True Blue Florals DSP (it is still available $5 with a $75 purchase). The pieces she gave us were 4" x 6". I challenged myself to use them up and here is what I came up with.

The colors in the DSP are Night of Navy and Balmy Blue. I used that color palette and the With You In Mind stamp set to create these cards. It was actually really fun and rather refreshing having a limited supply. Sometimes more isn't better. lol! I stacked them up, tied a ribbon around them and gifted them to a friend! So fun! I want to do this again using other DSP...which I have an abundance of!

It's very cold here this morning and the hubs and I decided to walk about 30 minutes later than normal. Soooo, I have started the laundry and am getting the studio tidied up and ready to do some creating this morning when we get back. Yea!

You are Tea-riffic

Happy Monday! Yes, it is still Monday! It's been a good day but I haven't had time to post my card for today until right now!

I used the CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch #547

I wasn't sure about this sketch but when I had the Florals in Bloom DSP out it just all came together and I'm happy with the results. It's a good sketch to use those smaller pieces of DSP.  My card base is Berry Burst though the photo makes it look more like Melon Mambo. My "Tea-riffic" sentiment is from A Nice Cuppa (retired) and I embossed it in white onto a circle of Secret Sea then mounted it on a silver foil circle. The little mug is from Warm Hugs (retired).

Way to Go!

It has been a full day but I wanted to post this card.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #719.

I had to rotate the sketch so I'm not sure I even used the sketch. 😕 My card base is Cloud Cover.  The giraffe is from Silly Safari and I colored him with Pecan Pie and Darling Duckling Blends. The DSP is from Nature Walk which I am loving and using quite a bit of in my scrapbooking. The sentiment is from More Messages. I added a couple Shades of Green Hexagons and called it good.

All the kids came over after church for lunch. We celebrated Taylor's birthday which is later this week which happens to be my birthday too! Everything went well but I am tired and I'm going to call it a day.
