Everyday Details

Happy Fri-yay! I am happy to be on this side of the week. We had two little ones yesterday and all went well but this Gigi is tired.  I am looking forward to a week off. It is spring break here and the littles will be with their parents. Yea!

Here's today's card.

The image is from Everyday Details.  I used my watercolor pencils and Blender pens to color it. I haven't used them for awhile. I cut the image using the Everyday Details dies. They have all those tiny little holes which means tiny little paper dots all over. I used the Textured Notes die to cut a Daffodil Delight rectangular mat and it all went on a Secret Sea card base. Secret Sea is beautiful with so many colors! Love it!

I'm playing along with The Paper Players challenge #777.

Paisley found the tiniest snail on our walk. She has such a good eye and I love that she loves nature! I have never seen a such a small snail.

Hello, Spring

I got a card made this evening! I had baby on Monday. The good baby who decides he doesn't like cutting two teeth and was fussy! The big baby who I really can't pack and bounce around. He is 22.5 lbs at 6 months! And the hubs has been down in his back and was no help at all. 😑 I might be a bit fussy myself!  Making a card was good thing to do.

I used the Stampin' Up Only Challenge as my spring board for this card.

I CASE'd the "To the Happy Couple" card. I used Shy Shamrock for a card base and the Easter Joy DSP. I colored and cut the bunny, carrot and the eggs and layered them on. I added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies.

That's it for now. We have had gorgeous weather. Like warm! in the 60's! I had to get out this afternoon and ride my bike. Mt. Hood was looking pretty.

And here's a picture of the baby. I did get a smile. He may or may not have a runny nose. Don't look closely. When you fuss and cry your nose runs!

He is pretty cute! 😍

Let Joy Bloom

It's Fri-yay! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend ahead! Here's today's card.

I used the CASE-ing Tuesday #555 Sketch for this one.

I had the Sweet Blooms stamp set and the Pretty Florals DSP out as I was prepping for the make-n-take I am going to share on Saturday with my crafty friends. You can see the card I'm doing for that here.  I pulled a few things together and made this card for the sketch.

I used Strawberry Slush for the card base and Strawberry Slush two-tone cardstock for the 'bloom'. I adhered the sentiments onto a strip of Darling Duckling two-tone cardstock and finished it off with a few of the 25-27 In Color Flat Pearls. Easy peasy.

And then I came back to the studio and made another one!

I embossed the strip that the sentiment is on and I think I like that look better. What do you think?

In Springtime

Time (and energy) was limited yesterday as we watched Autumn (our 3 year old granddaughter) but I put together this quick card last night with some papers from Unity.

I used Pecan Pie as the card base and inked the edges of the pretty paper with Pecan Pie, added some ribbon from my stash and a little gold butterfly.

We managed to get outside between rain showers yesterday. Autumn is starting to get the hang of pedaling!

Have a Magical Day!

Okay, fine. I might have had a little bit of fun creating this card! 😊

I had rainbow colors on my mind from this week's Paper Players challenge and I was bummed I didn't get to play along with their challenge of Mythical Creatures last week. But it's never to late to create and I put things together and created this card for today.

My card base is the lovely Orchid Oasis (retired).  I used a Lawn Fawn star stencil and a rainbow of colors to create the background on a piece of Highland Heather two-tone cardstock.  I created the rainbow with the Stitched Rainbow dies (Lawn Fawn?). The unicorns and fairies are from Lawn Fawn's Unicorn Picnic along with the 'magical day' sentiment. The 'you are so awesome' sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Simply Celebrate Critters (which I'm excited to use this set again!).

Those fairies are tiny but the fairy wand is tinier and almost had me beat! I'm not sure you can even see the wand! 😂 It's there though!

So I'm playing along with the Paper Players again today!

I hope you all have a Magical Day!

Best.Friend.Ever.

 Here's today's card:

I'm playing along with the SUO Challenge #396.

My card base is Lost Lagoon. I embossed a piece of Coastal Cabana two-tone cardstock using the Eyelet EF and used it for a mat. I used the Country Woods DSP for the circles and the deckled rectangle. The focal image and sentiment are from the Country Flowers stamp set.

It really wasn't an easy sketch. I kept second guessing my choices. I don't like when I do that...

I have a couple little chores to do today but I'm hoping for some uninterrupted crafting time!

You Warm my Heart

Happy Monday! 🎉 I'm looking forward to a day of cleaning 😂 and catching up! But first a card!

I had to have a go with The Paper Players color challenge this week. They are looking for the colors of the rainbow!

I have been wanting to give this card a try for some time. I do believe this is my first slimline card ever. Not sure why I waited so long to do a slimline...easy peasy and it gives me more space to create! These are the colors I used: Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger, Darling Duckling, Shy Shamrock, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis and Highland Heather. I stamped the cup image from More than Autumn in each color onto coordinating cardstock. I used the coordinating die to cut the cups out and cut a heart in each color using the die from the same set. The sentiment is from Warmest Heart and is stamped in Starry Sky.

The problem I have now is that I don't know how to photograph a slimline card. 😕

Make it a great Monday!

Love Life

Well, hello there Crafty Friends! I was unintentionally MIA last week. The week started out great...on Monday we biked the Banks Vernonia trail with our friends. We had a fantastic day. It was so fun. It is a 42 mile round trip ride. We all have e-bikes but we still had a great workout. From there it was something every day...and I never did catch up with myself or have enough time or energy for crafting. So, I'm jumping on this afternoon with a card I completed using the CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch.

I just recently got the Square Snippets DSP. I like it and think it will be fun for scrapbooking also.  The Joyful Squares bundle wasn't available at the time 😑 and I'm not sure I even need it...anyways, I was happy to get a card completed and posted today!

I have to share one photo of our Little Big Guy! He is six months now!

Relax

 Happy Fri-yay! Here's today's card:

I wanted to play along with this month's challenge over at Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #249. They have a fun sketch.

I used some cute paper from NND A Dog's Life Paper Pad. I stamped a cute kitty from Newton's Book Club stamp set and colored it in and added a sentiment from the same set.

It's going to be a full day! We have two of our little grandbabies today!

Birthday Dino

 Here's today's card:

I had to pull out Darling Dinos and use this cute little dino that I had already colored! I added the Flowering Zinnias DSP to make a fun and festive birthday card. I used a sentiment from More Messages. I really like the More Messages bundle for sentiments. I stamp and cut them out in various colors and have them handy on my desk to pop on a card. I just checked and they are no longer available on the SU! website.  I finished my card with a few Holographic dots.

I used the Paper Players sketch #774. Isn't this a fun one!

I had a lot of odds and ends to clean up in the studio yesterday. I didn't get everything done of course. Mainly because the sun came out and we had to go ride our bikes! I saw these daffodils just blooming away on the side of the road.

And we saw the herd of elk! You'll probably have to zoom in to see! 😅

What a gift!

Good Things

 Here's today's card:

I have had this panel of DSP and this little bird in my stash for a long time. I don't remember the name of this DSP but remember the birds you could fussy cut from it?? I think this is all I have left of it because I don't see it in my stash. So, today I added it to a Pecan Pie card base, popped up the bird on a couple circles with some Fresh Freesia seam binding behind it. I added a sentiment from Banner Sayings and used the Three Banner punch on it. I added a few sequins from my stash.

I used the sketch at Just Add Ink #779.

Hello There

Well, hello Monday! You came around so quickly! Here's a quick and simple card I made for today.

I pulled out Silly Safari and colored up the monkey and cheetah, added some cute animal print DSP and a sentiment from Blooming Phrases. Everything went on a Strawberry Slush card base.

I went with the Freshly Made Sketch #724.

We celebrated Autumn's 3rd birthday on Saturday at one of those indoor play areas. I got one picture of her and her cousin. The kids ran around the entire time which is what it's all about but it's difficult to take photos!

I got this pic of all my guys in one place! ❤

Thank you

Happy Fri-yay! It's been a good week here but it isn't over. We have two little ones today and a birthday party for one of our littles tomorrow! 🎉

Today's card was fun to make and I'm very excited to make more cards using this sketch!

I used a Misty Moonlight card base and a Petal Pink mat on which I adhered the Painted Illusions DSP  which is the Product of the Month for February while supplies last with a $75 purchase. There's free shipping through today with a $75 purchase. (just a little FYI) I had some Petal Pink ribbon in my stash and added it. The sentiment is from With You in Mind stamped in Pretty Peacock and punched out with the Hexagon Punch. I punched another hexagon in Misty Moonlight, cut it in half and layered it behind the sentiment. I added a few gems. They're SU! gems that my upline gave me but I don't know what they're called. I didn't get the whole package just a strip of them.

The Stampin' Up Only Challenge #395 is to CASE designer Tammy Fite.

Yes, it is very fun and I highly recommend giving it a try!

Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Stamping!

Celebrate!

When I saw the Atlantic Hearts sketch this week I drew a blank. As I thought about it and looked at it for awhile I saw a flag and this is what I came up with:

I love red, white and blue and all things Americana. I used a Night of Navy card base, embossed a piece of Basic White with the Starburst EF and then I used the Gears & Texture dies (yes!) to cut the red stripes and the navy and gold stripes (chains). How fun is that?! The little stars and the sentiment tag is from the Cracker & Treat Box dies (retired). The sentiment is from NND's Newton's 4th of July.

And here's the Atlantic Hearts Sketch #669:

This was definitely a challenge but once everything clicked for an idea it was really fun!

Dino Birthday!

I love it when you pull out a stamp set and discover some pieces already stamp and colored in it just waiting to be used! That's how today's card got started.

I grabbed the Darling Dinos bundle and discovered T-Rex waiting to be used! I made a simple birthday card using a strip of glimmer paper and a strip of DSP from Flowering Zinnias (retired). I added a little bow tie to T-Rex and gave him a balloon too. I was thinking I could write a little story, "When you Give a Bow Tie to a Dino", and all the places he would go...lol!

I am playing along with a few challenges with this card. The Paper Players #773 is looking for CAS with Balloons and Birthdays.

Seize the Birthday #320 has CAS with Dies for their special topping.

And AAA Card Challenge #308 has a sketch.

I'm not sure I've ever combined three challenges together! That's usually outside my bandwidth! lol! There's always a first time even at my age and stage in life!

A Good Friend

I just love this paper crafting hobby I am addicted to!  It brings me joy! Here's today's card.

I had so much fun using the SU! Pretty Floral dies.  The card base is Berry Burst and I embossed a piece of Basic Black with the SU! Exposed Brick EF. I used just the dies for these gorgeous flowers! I cut them from Berry Burst, Bubble Bath and Pretty Peacock. I did some ink blending on the pink flowers. The foliage is cut from Lost Lagoon. The sentiment is from the retired set Apple Harvest and is cut with a cute die from the same bundle. I love that sentiment! I embellished with a few Brushed Brass Butterflies.

I am playing along with the Tic Tac Toe #286 Challenge. I did the center horizontal of Florals/Ink Blending/Sentiment Strip.

Can You Handle the Pressure
has an optional theme to use die cuts.

Consider Yourself Hugged

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Today's card was fun to make. I used some new products from SU!'s Easter Joy suite.

The Easter Joy DSP is very cool.  It's slick and shiny on one side and muted on the other. It's thicker/heavier in a good way and the colors are definitely spring!

I covered my Shy Shamrock card base with a piece of the DSP and cut that cute basket with some of it also. I used the Easter Basket dies for the basket and the flowers. Weaving those tiny strips through the basket was a bit hard for me. The sentiment is from Banner Sayings and I used the Three Banner punch on it.

I used the CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch #551

I'm looking forward to creating more with this suite of products.

Here's a pic I took yesterday afternoon when I was out walking Jake.

The sky was so cool looking!

Make it a great day!

Bloom

Happy Fri-yay! I hope everyone had a great week and have a wonderful weekend planned!

Today's card is another one I CASE'd from the '25-26 SU! AC, page 41.

I rather enjoy CASE-ing when my mojo is low or I'm playing with new products and getting a feel for them as is the case here.

Does that look like Summer Splash in the photo?? It doesn't to me but it is! I stamped that background using Summer Splash ink onto Summer Splash cardstock. I used the Sweet Blooms bundle for this card which I am loving! I used a Party Banner die and embossed it with the Lovely Stripes EF. I stamped the flowers in Peach Pie and then using a sponge dauber added Timid Tiger on the lower half of the flowers. The leaves are stamped in second generation Secret Sea since I do not have Cloud Cover ink. IYKYK.  I finished the card with a few Timid Tiger Flat Pearls.

Happy Stamping, my friends!
