Signs of Winter

The Paper Players challenge this week is looking for signs of winter. I wanted to make a card with a giant sunshine on it,  green grass, birds singing and my hubs mowing the lawn! We have had beautiful weather lately. Yes, it is freezing in the morning and the air is chilly but the sun is shining and the hubs really did mow the lawn including my mom's too!  Here's what I did instead:

I used my snowflake EF on Balmy Blue cardstock and ran Craft White ink acrossed it. I stamped the birds from Winerly Tree Tops and colored them with Blends. The sentiment is from the same set and I cut it with the tag from Snowflake Kisses. I cut a few evergreen sprigs from Pretty  Peacock.

What does winter look like in your neighborhood? The Redwing Blackbirds were singing here yesterday morning! It was delightful!

Go Wild!

Yesterday was fabulous as in I was able to do some crafting and hopefully I'll get some in today also! Here's today's card:

I used Silly Safari again along with the sketch from Sunday Stamps #377.

I had to rotate the sketch to fit my little characters. I used Berry Burst for the card base. I embossed a panel of shimmer paper with the Fern EF.  I added a strip of DSP from Masterfully Made (retired). I stamped the images and colored them with SU! Blends and used the 1-7/8" circle punch to punch them out. The monkey is popped up on dimensionals. I added a few gems to complete the card.

With You In Mind

At our January Crop earlier this month my BCFF (Best Crafting Friend Forever) and upline, Teresa, gave us a sampling of SU!'s December POM the True Blue Florals DSP (it is still available $5 with a $75 purchase). The pieces she gave us were 4" x 6". I challenged myself to use them up and here is what I came up with.

The colors in the DSP are Night of Navy and Balmy Blue. I used that color palette and the With You In Mind stamp set to create these cards. It was actually really fun and rather refreshing having a limited supply. Sometimes more isn't better. lol! I stacked them up, tied a ribbon around them and gifted them to a friend! So fun! I want to do this again using other DSP...which I have an abundance of!

It's very cold here this morning and the hubs and I decided to walk about 30 minutes later than normal. Soooo, I have started the laundry and am getting the studio tidied up and ready to do some creating this morning when we get back. Yea!

You are Tea-riffic

Happy Monday! Yes, it is still Monday! It's been a good day but I haven't had time to post my card for today until right now!

I used the CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch #547

I wasn't sure about this sketch but when I had the Florals in Bloom DSP out it just all came together and I'm happy with the results. It's a good sketch to use those smaller pieces of DSP.  My card base is Berry Burst though the photo makes it look more like Melon Mambo. My "Tea-riffic" sentiment is from A Nice Cuppa (retired) and I embossed it in white onto a circle of Secret Sea then mounted it on a silver foil circle. The little mug is from Warm Hugs (retired).

Way to Go!

It has been a full day but I wanted to post this card.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #719.

I had to rotate the sketch so I'm not sure I even used the sketch. 😕 My card base is Cloud Cover.  The giraffe is from Silly Safari and I colored him with Pecan Pie and Darling Duckling Blends. The DSP is from Nature Walk which I am loving and using quite a bit of in my scrapbooking. The sentiment is from More Messages. I added a couple Shades of Green Hexagons and called it good.

All the kids came over after church for lunch. We celebrated Taylor's birthday which is later this week which happens to be my birthday too! Everything went well but I am tired and I'm going to call it a day.

Today & Always

It's Fri-yay! We are scheduled to have two of the grandkids today! I'm sure it will be a very full day!

Today's card is another one using the Endless Love bundle!

My inspiration came from page 30 of SU!'s new mini catalog. Instead of stamping the XO's on the hearts I used the cute little die cuts and I embossed the hearts with the Hearts of Love EF. I stuck with the color palette in the suite: Bubble Bath, Flirty Flamingo, Poppy Parade, Real Red, and Strawberry Slush. Don't the red gems little like  those little candied Red Hots?! They are the Delightful Decorative Dots and are on the Last Chance list at a reduced price! I thought they were bright and cheery.

Have a wonderful weekend!

My Heart

 Here's today's card:

My card base is Night of Navy. I embossed a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock with the Pressed Flowers EF. I cut a circle using a circle from the Stylish Shapes dies. The heart is from the Heart Shaped dies and I cut it from Silver Foil. I added the flower die cuts from the same set and added a few Rhinestones. The sentiment is from the Heart Shaped stamp set and cut with one of the dies.

I'm playing along with The Paper Players color challenge this week.

Just a Hello

Today's card features puppy #3 (of 4) from Unity's Puppy Paws which is included in the December 2025 KOM, Peace, Paws & Possibility.

I started with that Floral Delight DSP.  I do like it, I think. It's just so much yellow. lol! I added a Peach Pie card base. I thought the fur baby looked just fine surrounded by the florals with that piece of yellow gingham running through it. I colored the pup using Crumb Cake Blends. The sentiment is from the same set. I just fussy cut it and added a Peach Pie strip behind it.

That's it for me today. I hope everyone is having a great week!

You Are Fabulous

You know how some cards just come together quickly and easily and others not so much?! Well, today's card came together quickly and easily and made me happy.

The card base is Pecan Pie. I used the light side of the two toned cardstock in Pecan Pie and embossed it with an older (2022) Spellbinders EF. Then I used a sanding block on the embossing. The DSP strip is from Made with Love and I cut the heart using the Endless Love dies. The sentiment is from In My Heart. I just fussy cut around it. I added a few red Delightful Decorative Dots aka Red Hots. 😂 They seriously look like Red Hots that I haven't had in forever. We used to use them to decorate our Christmas sugar cookies.

I have two challenges I'm joining for this card. It's Word Week #805 at Just Us Girls and they are looking for Encouragement

You're All Heart

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. Mine was fine other than our washing machine is down for the count and the hubs and YouTube are trying to fix it...a part is ordered but won't be here for a few days. I'm very thankful for my mom! Yep! Mom to the rescue. I was able to do laundry at her house on Saturday.

On to today's card!

I used the CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch #546.

My card base is Pecan Pie. I used a few pieces of the Floral Delight DSP. The Yellow DSP. It's really yellow. Like, there's ALOT of yellow in the DSP. I was determined to use it. Thankfully the "B" side had this brown textured paper so I used it as the base. The ivy heart and the yellow flower are from the Heart Shaped dies (last year's SALE-A-BRATION). The sentiment is from Modern Heart which is from a few years back. I don't have the date on it which is odd. I usually do. I added a few sparkle dots and a linen thread bow.

I might have a few more cards to share this week using that yellow DSP. 😅

We had fun with Paisley and Weston on Friday!

LOVE

Each year I choose a word. Just one word. I've been doing this for probably 10 years. This year my one word is: LOVE. I chose 1 John 4:7-8 as verses to accompany my one word but there are so many great verses on love that I may just have a collection of them! All this to introduce today's card! lol!

Another fun card using the Endless Love bundle and Made with Love DSP! My first one I shared on Monday here. This was the make-n-take I shared Saturday with my monthly crafting group. They did an amazing job making their cards. They are so good and so kind as I bumbled through a few of the instructions. All of them are talented crafters.

My inspiration for this card came directly from the new SU! mini catalog on page 30. My card base is Flirty Flamingo. I added another layer of Flirty Flamingo that I embossed with the Hearts of Love EF. Threading the ribbon through the heart is a bit of a challenge but I like the results. I stamped the LOVE but the font is the same as the Mini Alphabet dies and I'm excited to use those also.

If you're interested in learning more about having a word for the year I recommend reading, My One Word  by Mike Ashcraft and Rachel Olsen.

Happy Birthday

I needed a birthday card for one of the little boys at our church. I used another one of the cute pups from Unity's December 2025 KOM, Peace, Paws & Possiblity.

I used strips of paper from NND's A Dog's Life and adhered them to a Real Red card base. The strips are 1/2" x 3-3/4". I used the Deckled Circles dies and the sentiment is from Simply Said.

Very easy but I think it's completely appropriate for a youngster! I'm sure I'll be sharing the other two pups from the kit in the near future! 😉 So cute and so fun!

Hugs & Kisses

Today's card features an adorable Doxie from Unity's December '25 Kit of the Month, Peace, Paws & Possibility.  She's one of four adorable pups in the set.

Sadly, the photography is not good. Sorry. I used some paper from NND's Love & Woofs and A Dog's Life. The card base is Basic Gray. I stamped the sentiments from SU!'s Endless love in Real Red onto Gray Granite cardstock. The circles were cut using the Deckled Circles dies.

Color Hues Challenge #124 is looking for gray and red.

So, there you have it! Hope your week is going well!

Happy Winter

Good morning! We have a full day ahead that includes a haircut for me (yea!) and some shopping (Costco) and maybe a few other stops. But first a card.

My inspiration for this card came from an ornament I received that my BCFF (Best Crafting Friend Forever) and SU! Upline, Teresa Harper at KnT Designs by Teresa, made for me. Check out her video here. I absolutely love the ornament! I decided instead of an ornament I'd make it a card.

My card base is Azure Afternoon.  I took a piece of Lights of Aurora DSP and embossed it with the Decorative Dots EF (old & retired). I cut another piece using a Spotlight on Nature circle die. I stamped my images on a piece of Basic White using Secret Sea ink. I had to fussy cut and tear around the images. I found that to be a bit challenging. Mainly the tearing. If you watch the video you'll see how it is done. The smoke from the chimney is embossed on vellum with silver embossing powder and then fussy cut out. I love that look! The sentiment is from Snowflake Kisses.  I used a few Frosted Iridescent Dots to complete the card.

Can You Handle The Pressure is looking for anything using an embossing folder with a twist of Winter Blues!

Hugs & Kisses

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Today's card uses new product that will be available tomorrow!

I'm having a lot of fun playing with the Endless Love bundle, the Made with Love DSP and the Hearts of Love EF! What do you think? There's some stamping, die cutting and embossing. WooHoo! I put everything on a label from the Foiled Frames & Labels Ephemera pack which is on the Last Chance list but isn't discounted.

I kind of sort of followed the sketch from CASE-ing Tuesday #545. At least that was my starting point. It evolved a bit but all the more fun, right?!

Birthday Ride

I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year celebration. Ours was very nice and quiet and I even took a nap yesterday!

Today's card is a simple birthday card I made using the pickup from SU!'s Ride with Me stamp set (retired).

My card base is Bubble Bath with a strip of DSP from Florals in Bloom. The pickup is adhered to an old Memories and More card. Those cute balloons are from Addressed to You which will be available January 6.  I colored the pickup with (retired) Tahitian Tide Blends and added a few sequins to finish it off. Easy peasy and it is in the mail!

Well, I have a full weekend ahead. Our crafting group meets tomorrow and I'll be sharing the make-n-take. It's all prepped and ready to go! I need to finish my treat boxes for everyone and figure out what I'm taking for the potluck. Have a great weekend and I'll be back here on Monday!

Relax, Read, Repeat...

 Happy New Year!

Today's card is another fun one I enjoyed making and will be making several because I have so many friends who love to read!

I used Stories and Snuggles from Unity. I colored the focal image with Blends. The DSP is from Nature Walk (coming Jan. 6) and Country Lace (retired). It all went on a Night of Navy card base and I embellished with a few Hues of Blue Flowers. The sentiment was cut using a Textured Notes die.

What are you reading?! I am currently reading The Stolen Life of Colette Marceau by Kristin Harmel and listening to the audio book, The Book of Lost Friends by Lisa Wingate. Both are very good!

From our family to yours we wish you a year filled with good health, lots of love and all that brings you joy!

P.S.  If you only knew what we went through to get one semi okay family photo! 😂 It's funny now but I wasn't laughing at the time.
