Just a quick post today. I am squeaking this card in for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.
My card was inspired by the Nancy Drew Mystery book, Mystery at Lilac Inn. All I could think of while reading it was lilacs and diamonds! lol. And since my last Nancy Drew card was diamonds and gems I went with a kind of lilac card. I don't have a lilac stamp but I have a Hyacinth, from Newton's Nook Designs, and hyacinths and lilacs are related. I sprinkled rhinestones all over the card...for diamonds.😉 The sentiment is from SU!'s Beautiful Motifs and I chose it because they were celebrating Emily receiving the diamonds when all heck broke loose!
Here's the sketch from the AHSC:
That's it for now. It's super hot here. 100 degrees. I'm very thankful for the AC!
Happy Stamping!
Tracy
I love how you connected your card to your latest Nancy Drew! Very pretty card; those papers are the loveliest! It's hot here too, stay cool! Thanks for playing with Atlantic Hearts this week!
ReplyDeleteI love your card, Tracy! That pattern you used for the background is my favorite in that entire DSP set so I want to hoard it : ) I think the hyacinth stands in for the lilacs quite well and you did a great job with the sketch. Love how you added the "diamonds" too. Thanks for playing along with me in the Nancy Drew Challenge!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun inspiration for a card! Lovely card! I like that you are still using the SAB ribbon. I'm still using that and the sequins too. Thanks for sharing with the Atlantic Hearts crew this week!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Thanks for playing along with our sketch at Atlantic Hearts!
