Stampin' Up's Onstage!

In November I attended my first  Onstage event as a SU! demonstrator! My upline, Teresa, who happens to be my BFF, and I went together. We made a weekend of it, of course! We attended the event in Portland, Oregon just an hour from where we live.

Are those meerkats adorable or what? And the stamp set, The Gang's All Meer,  available now in the Sale-a-bration flyer is just as adorable! It is free with a $50 purchase.

I was mighty happy to receive the stamp set Forever Blossoms during prize patrol! I love it! I went ahead and got the Cherry Blossoms dies that coordinate with the stamp set. If you purchase them together you save 10%! It is part of the Parisian Blossoms suite. I purchased the Parisian Blossoms DSP, the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder, the champagne rhinestones and the petal pink 1/4" metallic-edge ribbon.  All of these products are available starting today in the new mini catalog!

We made some fun make-n-takes during the day. I've already given them away and have no photos to share!

Teresa and I did a little crafting back at our room! An old paper pumpkin kit we assembled. They come in so handy for a little crafting fun!

Overall, I loved my first Onstage event.  I was inspired, enlightened, and encouraged.

Hello 2020

Happy New Year, my friends!

It has been another eventful few months here on the farm.

My dad died September 20, 2019.  He was 84 years old. This past summer he really started to decline. He had COPD for many years and there was just no way of making him better. The last month of his life was tough. He was able to stay at home and only the last two weeks did hospice come in occasionally to help. He and my mom were quite a team. They would have celebrated 66 years of marriage in October.  He died 13-1/2 months after my brother. 

The last two weeks of Dad's life I spent the days at my parents and then I would come home and take our dog, Jake, for a walk. We would walk around our grass field. I would get to this point (see photo) and stop and look all around. Some days I could barely see for all the tears in my eyes but always I would look. And always I would give thanks to God for all his goodness. Oh yes, I cried out my frustrations and fears too, but God is so able and so willing to hear it all! He is so faithful.

This is a different view but of the same area I walked just at a different time. Pretty amazing, huh?

It was hard saying good bye to 2019 and hello 2020 knowing that Dad is no longer here.  Life continues on though. I will walk through my grief, literally, and I will craft through my grief and I will share with others the legacy my father has left. I am blessed to have been his daughter.

Let's Catch Up!

The last couple weeks have been full! We painted Steven's house!

It turned out really well. He is happy and that is all that matters! He is a first time home owner. The next project is the yard! That will be between he and his Dad. I'm not much of a yard work gal.

I helped with a bridal shower at our church. It was such a fun shower for guys and gals! I made this card for the bride and groom:

We had a successful Pancake Breakfast at our church. We raised about $1200 to be donated to a local charity. Here are a couple of the thank you cards I made to give to those that helped:

For Father's Day the Farmer and I took Taylor and his girlfriend, Katie to the beach and rode the Railriders! It was a lot of fun! Such a beautiful day! 

Today Taylor joined us for a hike up Saddle Mountain.  It is a strenuous hike but we made it to the top and back down. Unfortunately, the clouds were solid today and we didn't get a view. 

There were a lot of beautiful wildflowers though! I thought this wild rose growing out of the rock was just priceless and it reminds me of the SU! set "To a Wild Rose" that is on my wish list!

And that is just a quick recap of the last couple weeks. Didn't get a lot of crafting done but I hope to do more in the coming week. Harvest is upon us so we will see how that unfolds!

Happy Tails!

My niece, Marcia, and her daughter Emma came over this afternoon and did a little crafting in Studio 1.15! We used the Happy Tails stamp set with the Dog Builder Punch.

This is the card I made. I forgot to take a picture of their cards! UGH!

Well, today's the big day! The new Stampin' Up! catalog goes live! Exciting stuff for us SU! demonstrators and avid paper crafters! 

I made this simple card using a piece of the Follow your Art DSP in the center with lots of the Stitched Rectangle dies. The heart is from the Stitched Be Mine dies. The sentiment is from the recently retired A Good Day stamp set. I used Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana cardstock.

The Farmer's been busy helping me out! We put up the signs for our church's upcoming Pancake Breakfast!  My friend, Gretchen, did an awesome job on the signs! She used her Cricut and the Country Life cartridge for the font! Love it!

Memory Making Monday

Life on the farm has been full!

I made the title page for my 2018 album! Quick and easy using the Butterfly Duet punch!

I love the rainbow of butterflies. I used the retired SU! All Around Alphabet for the letters and my Cricut to cut out the numbers. I will use the same alphabet set throughout the album. It just makes things simpler to use the same font and style.

A few weeks ago our Meadowfoam crop was in full bloom! It is was so pretty!

And here is the wheat growing nicely!

I made this card using the Beautiful Promenade stamp set and the Beautiful Layers thinlits. I used five different colors: Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride, Petal Pink, Pool Party and Coastal Cabana. I had originally thought I would enter it in the Fab Friday 162 challenge but that didn't happen. I made these two other cards with this color combination also.

 This card uses the Butterfly Gala Stamp set and the Country Floral embossing folder. The sentiment is from A Big Thank You.

And on this one the flowers are from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set.
