Celebrate!

Wednesday, May 8, 2024

This card came about because of that pretty paper. It came with an invitation I received for a tea party.

I paired it with a card base of Pink Pirouette and a strip of Berry Burst that I embossed with the floral embossing folder from the Basics EF's which was a SU! Online Exclusive. I cut the circle from the Everyday Details dies (LOVE those dies) and then added that fluffy bunny from Fluffiest Friends. The sentiment is from the Time For Tags stamp set (retired). I finished it off with some floral-type gems I had in my stash.  I'm happy I can play along with the Paper Players this week where the theme is Animal Antics.

You are Loved

 Tuesday, May 7, 2024

Well, I used the Petal Park stamp set and punch once again and some purple. Check it out!

I made two of these for my DIL's for Mother's Day.  The sentiment is from Perennial Postage.  I'm ready to set aside this bundle and move on to another project.

A Petal Park Christmas

Monday, May 6, 2024

Happy Monday, my friends! My favorite day of the week!

So after playing with the Sentimental Park bundle I grabbed the Petal Park stamp set. It just retired from the SU! catalog but the coordinating punch, Petal Park Builder Punch, is still available. It's on page 122-123 of the current SU! catalog. I just checked that out to make sure you could even see what it looked like in the catalog. Honestly, the new catalog has me fairly depressed. I won't say much else. I'll get over it and move on but I really do feel deflated or defeated or maybe just old. 😩 Anywho, on to fun things! Here's my card for today:

Isn't it so fun to use a nontraditional stamp set for a Christmas card?! I love it and want to made multiples! Yea! for building my Christmas card stash!

My card base is Real Red and the mat is Shaded Spruce. I stamped the flowers using Sweet Sorbet and the leaves are stamped with Shaded Spruce for the outline and Soft Seafoam for the shading. I love those two colors together. Do you love that sentiment? I do! It is from 2020 and is called Wrapped in Christmas. A great little sentiment set.

I think I'll play with this stamp set some more! I'm thinking birthday cards...in purples...we'll see!

Sentimental Park

 Saturday, May 4, 2024

I made one more card using the Sentimental Park bundle.

I used the Cane Weave EF on a piece of Basic White. I love the two step stamping of the little lfower clusters. I stamped the flowers in Poppy Parade. I never realized that Poppy Parade and Flirty Flamingo went so well together. LOL! Anyway, it was fun creating with the Sentimental Park bundle that had been neglected in my stash.

Happy Stamping and have a great weekend!

For You #2

 Friday, May 3, 2024

Happy Friday! Today's card uses the Sentimental Park bundle and the Radiating Stitches dies.

I used the same colors as Wednesday's card, which you can see here, and more of the little flowers from the dies. Easy peasy.

For You #1

 Wednesday, May 1, 2024

Hello to the month of May!

I find inspiration for creating cards all around me. Often at church color combos will stand out to me in something I see in the bulletin, clothing, flowers, etc. Today's card was inspired by my friend's skirt! I wish I would have taken a picture of it! LOL!

I used a black card base. I cut a mat of Basic Black and embossed it with the Zinnia 3D EF and layered it on a mat of Flirty Flamingo. I stamped flowers from Sentimental Park in Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight and used the Petal Park Builder punch. I added a rhinesone to the flower centers. I used the Lemon Lime Twist ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Pack. The sentiment is from the same Sentimental Park stamp set and I cut the label with the Sentimental Park dies.

I don't think I had ever really created with this bundle. I really like it and the Petal Park bundle that coordinates with it. I have a few more projects to share over the next few days!

Simply Zinnia!

 Monday, April 29, 2024

Happy Monday! My favorite day of the week! Today's card is one I shared as the make-n-take at our April crafting day. I used the Simply Zinnia bundle.

I am really enjoying creating with this suite. I have almost used all the DSP.  Yea!!! I used a piece of the Lemon Lime Twist from the Glorious Gingham DSP on one of the cards. I really like how it looks. The card base is Old Olive and the zinnias are die cut from Melon Mambo. The Glimmer Paper is also from the suite. The sentiment is from Perennial Postage stamped in Melon Mambo ink and I fussy cut around it. I made multiples and plan to use them for Mother's Day cards.
