Celebrate Easter!

I know Easter was officially two weeks ago but really as Christians every day we can celebrate the resurrection of Jesus! So, my friends at Bible study and the ladies at my church received these cute little baskets this past week. I hope they will be a reminder that every day is an Easter celebration!

I got the idea from the Paper Pixie. I used the largest framelit from the Lots of Labels framelits and then embossed it with the Basket Weave embossing folder. The sentiment is from SU! Little Cuties stamp set.

Cozy Cottages

I love this stamp set! Cozy Cottage a SU! hostess set from the current Occasions catalog. I used my SU! Blends to color these two cards. It was so fun and so relaxing. It will be fun to create more cards with this set. All the different colors I can use! Endless possibilities!!!

Balloon Celebration

Stampin' Up's Balloon Celebration stamp set and coordinating balloon punch is a fun bundle. I just punched the balloons for this card. I added a few stars that I punched. The card base is Dapper Demin with the coordinating ribbon.  Fun and easy!

Count My Blessings

There really are many benefits to counting your blessings, or gifts, as I like to call them. Even on the bad days remembering those special gifts God has given us can make life seem not so dark or difficult.

I used SU!'s Count My Blessings stamp set for this card. This stamp set was from the '17 Holiday Occasions catalog. It is no longer available. My wonderful friend who just happens to be my SU! demonstrator gave me this set. She is so good at knowing what sets I will love! I also used an old favorite stamp set, Gorgeous Grunge.

I used a technique from Pootles Papercrafts. Sam Donald did a video on this. It is titled "Spritzer Watercolor with Markers". You ink your stamp up with Stampin' Write markers, give it a spritz or two of water and stamp it onto watercolor paper.   The cardstock, DSP, and ink are Tranquil Tide.

Make a Wish!

Guy birthday cards can be challenging for me. I made these for my great nephews who had birthdays in January.  I like how they turned out. I think I'll make a few more...

Enjoy your weekend!

I used the Pop of Pink DSP (retired) for these two birthday cards. The sentiment and butterfly are from Butterfly Basics stamp set. I love that stamp set!

Hope your week is going well!

Birthday cards!

Over the weekend I made lots of birthday cards for an adult group home that my church's Ladies Ministry supports. I have a few more to make and then we will have enough to get us through this year! Always a good feeling to be working ahead of schedule...I need to do that with my own personal birthday cards I give.  Seems like I'm always working "behind" in that area!

February's Make 'n' Take

So each month a bunch of us crazy paper crafters  get together and spend the day crafting! This month our lovely SU! demonstrator shared this project with us:

Isn't it gorgeous?! We embossed the image with gold embossing powder and then used the new Brusho Crystal Colors. It was a relatively easy technique. We sprinkled the crystals on the paper (watercolor paper!) and then used the aqua painters to "activate" the crystals. The results were beautiful!

Enjoy your weekend!

I {Heart} You

I know last Wednesday was Valentine's Day but since I didn't post last week I thought I would share today what I shared with others for Valentine's.

I made these cute mini milk cartons!

I got the idea from the thepaperpixie.com  Love Julie's ideas! I used up some old DSP! Yea! I made oodles of them and put a yummy Lindt chocolate ball in them!

Hope your day is filled with love!

What happened to last week!

What happened last week that I never did a blog post?! Life happened, I guess! I helped with our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. That was a lot of fun! Our ladies ministry group hosted it and all donations went to help support our mission projects.  I decorated this box.
We will use it for other events too.  We are becoming affectionately known as the Church Chicks so I used a SU! set from last year's Sale-a-bration called, "Hey, Chick!" I love it! I'm borrowing the set from my friend and SU! demonstrator, Teresa. The DSP is Fresh Fig, a current SU! In Color.

Saturday I spent with my friend, Barbie, doing the admissions at our District League Basketball tournament. What a full, busy and fun day it was! And boy! was I tired at the end of that day! This is us at the end of a long day! We are still smiling though!

I managed to sneak in some crafting therapy last week though! I love SU!'s new Cozy Cottage stamp set! It is in the current Occasion's catalog and is available as a host set! I had fun coloring this with the Stampin' Blends. I stamped it with Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Shimmery White cardstock. I used the ribbon from the current Sale-a-bration flyer.  I am looking forward to coloring many more Cozy Cottages!

I hope you have a fabulous Monday!

Mixed Bunch

I am using another retired SU! set, Mixed Bunch. I just pulled it off the shelf and started stamping!

I kept both cards monochromatic. I used Momento Black and Night of Navy. I love the Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon! I am using both of these cards for thank you's.

Well, tomorrow is our monthly "Crop" day where I get together with friends who love to paper craft! It should be a great day!

Enjoy your weekend!

Tracy

Party Pandas!

I love this stamp set! Party Pandas is a Stampin' Up Sale-a-Bration set! Which means when you purchase $50 in SU! product you can get it for free!

I colored the balloon using the Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blend marker.  These cards were really quick and easy and OH, so fun!

Petal Garden Birthday

I'm sorry this photo isn't the greatest. I am still experimenting with taking photos of my work. I haven't figured it out yet!

I used the Petal Garden DSP on these cards and the Oh My Stars embossing folder. The sentiment is from an oldie (retired) but a good one,  Happiest Birthday Wishes. It was a hostess set. I have used it over and over! I used Sweet Sugarplum glimmer paper for the scallop and tied it all together with some Sweet Sugarplum ribbon. The card base is Sweet Sugarplum and the layer is Pool Party.

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Blessings,
Tracy

Just Add Text

I made this card awhile back. I made a couple of them...isn't it nice having cards made up in advance?!! I am always behind in that! Like it is February and I don't have my February birthday cards made yet!!!

I used the Naturally Eclectic DSP, Lemon Lime Twist and Fresh Fig cardstock. The sentiment is from Just Add Text and is layered with squares from the stitched shapes framelits and layering  squares framelits. I tied it all together with that lovely 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon in Lemon Lime Twist.

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Little Cuties

I love cute and whimsy! This kitten is from SU!'s Little Cuties. A very simple card. The background is embossed with the Garden Trellis embossing folder.  I haven't added a sentiment yet. I'm not sure how I will use this card. It's nice to have cards you can just add the appropriate sentiment to when needed!

Enjoy your Monday!

Create a Critter

Once a month my oldest niece and her 11-year old daughter come over to create with me in Studio 1.15.  It is always a wonderful time together. This month we created cards using the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge. I forgot to take pictures of what they created :(  These are the cards I created. Just cute and whimsy and ready to bring a smile to someone!

Home Sweet Home

Today's card is one I made using the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge. I cut this little house out with it. The birds are from SU!'s Flying Home which I got using the hostess credit I earned at my SU! workshop a few weeks ago.  The background paper is from SU!'s Serene Scenery which is now retired.

This card is for a young couple who recently purchased their first home! How exciting for them.

Happy Birthday!

Today is our youngest son's birthday! Taylor is 25 years old! Over the weekend we got together with him and his girlfriend, Katie, and his brother, (our oldest son) Steven. I made this card as a way to tell him of his birthday surprise. It says "ifly at five". What does that mean?! He thought the same thing!!! And he thought it said "iffy"! We had a great laugh and glad he had to think to decipher it!

"I fly" is an indoor skydiving place.  Yes, we all went! It was interesting. I don't know if I would call it fun. We had fun and it was a great activity for all of us to do. It was kind of hard though. The brochure say it is "a vertical wind tunnel that creates a cushion of air allowing you to experience free-fall skydiving without having to leap from an airplane".

Anyway for Taylor's card I used the Hand Lettered Alphabet stamp set. I like this set and am anxious to use it in my 2017 photo album. I also used Balloon Celebration.

Here we all are ready for our flights!

And one other bit of info...today is my birthday too! Yep, I had a baby on my 30th birthday! What a blessing!

Blessings,
Tracy

Eastern Beauty

I have really enjoyed the Eastern Beauty bundle. I had no intentions of getting this bundle. At one of our monthly crops last year I won the door prize. I think I won the Eastern Beauty stamp set...or was it the Eastern Medallions thinlits dies...either way I won one of them and of course had to have the other half! I have had a lot of fun using it. I like the sentiments in the stamp set. This is a birthday card for a friend. I hope she likes it.

Tracy

Friends Furever

Last Saturday was our monthly "crop". I hosted a SU! workshop. My wonderful friend and SU! demonstrator did this project as our make and take. It is so stinkin' cute. We used the Sale-a-bration's stamp set Party Pandas and the We Must Celebrate stamp set from the new 2018 Occasions catalog. This holds a Ghirardelli Chocolate and a tea bag. I love it!

My workshop was a total success! I reached my goal of getting a half price item! I chose to get the whole set of SU! BLENDS! I am very excited! I love coloring. I was also able to get several new stamp sets! All my goodies should be here in a few days. FUN!

Tracy

Paper Pups

I had fun making this cute little pup. My friend, Mary, walks our dog Jake when we are gone. Jake loves Mary and vice versa! So for Mary's birthday I had to make a pup from the Cricut cartridge Paper Pups.

And here is a picture of Jake! He is such a good boy! I love him so much! He makes me laugh every single day!

Happy Wishes!

This card was a make-n-take at our December Crop...once a month a group of gals gather at my church's fellowship hall and spend ALL day crafting. Most of us do paper crafts making cards or scrapbooking but you are welcomed to do whatever craft you want!

The sentiment is from a Sale-a-bration stamp set called Happy Wishes. The heart is stamped using Sure Do Love You. I love the paper we used called Painted with Love. It is on my wish list!

Hope your week is going well!

Tracy

Birthday Blooms!

Another birthday card for a dear friend of mine. We have been friends for 50 years! We met in kindergarten.  Her birthday was yesterday and mine will be in a couple weeks!

I used the Birthday Blooms stamp set and the new Stampin' Blends to color it. I haven't purchased any of the Blends yet but my wonderful demonstrator let me use hers! I am hoping to get the set of them as a half price item at the workshop I am hosting this weekend.

Have a wonderful Monday!

Tracy

Country Livin'

This is a birthday card I made for my BFF's 15 year old son.  His birthday is today.

The image is from Stampin' Up's Country Livin' stamp set. One of my favorites! For the sentiment I used Banners for You with the Bunch of Banners framelits. The paper is Wood Textures DSP.

I hope you enjoyed today's card.

Tracy
