Tasteful Touches #2

Today's card uses the Tasteful Touches stamp set that I used yesterday just with different images. I also used the Tasteful Labels dies and the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.

What do you think? It was a fun card to make!

Card Details:

• Merry Merlot A2 card base (I love this color!)
• In Good Taste DSP 4" x 5-1/2"
• Stamp on the DSP using the images shown. I stamped off once with Soft Suede. The ferns are stamped in Soft Succulent
• Stamp the flowers in Merry Merlot onto Very Vanilla cardstock; fussy cut out
• Using the dies cut two labels from the DSP
• Stamp the sentiment in Soft Suede
• Wrap Very Vanilla Baker's twine around the larger laber; adhere with dimensionals
• Adhere sentiment with dimensionals
• Adhere flowers with dimensionals
• Add three Brushed Metallic dots

I hope you enjoyed the feminine touch to this card using these products.

Tasteful Touches

Today's card features the Tasteful Touches stamp set along with the Tasteful Labels dies and the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. These products all coordinate nicely with each other. 

I wanted a masculine card and I think this fits that description. What do you think?!

Card Details:

• Night of Navy A2 card base
• In Good Taste DSP 4' x 5-1/2"; adhere to card base
• Very Vanilla 3" x 5-1/2"; stamp the feather in Night of Navy stamping off every other one; adhere to card base
• Cut a label in Night of Navy, cut the label in half
• Stamp off Gray Granite twice and then stamp onto a piece of Very Vanilla
• Stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy; cut label out and adhere to the Night of Navy pieces
• Add three loops of linen thread to the back of the label
• Adhere label to the card using dimensionals
• Add three Brushed Metallic Dots

A Rainbow!

Today's card I made during my FB Live: "Tuesday at 10 with Tracy for a coffee and a card". It features the SALE-a-bration stamp sets Textures and Frames, and In Your Words.

Card Details:

• Gorgeous Grape A2 card base
• Highland Heather 4" x 5-1/4"
• Basic White 3-3/4" x 5" stamp in Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point and Highland Heather
• Stamp sentiment in Gorgeous Grape
• Using the Strawberry Builder Punch punch the flowers out of Rainbow Glimmer paper; adhere with a glue dot.
• Adhere Holiday Rhinestones in matching colors.
• Using Dark Daffodil Delight and Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blends color Rhinestones Basic Jewels; adhere to matching colors.

Clever Cats

Today's Clever Cats card is Halloween themed. I'm not a big Halloween fan. The only trick-or-treaters we get are those we ask/beg/invite over! LOL! It's nice that this stamp set can be Halloween themed but isn't limited to that as yesterday's card shows!

Card Details:

• A2 card base in Gorgeous Grape
• Highland Heather 4" x 5-1/4"; stamp the bats and spider in Memento Tuxedo Black ink
• Pattern Party DSP 1-1/2" x 4"; adhere to Highland Heather
• Use the Tasteful Textile embossing folder on the Highland Heather piece; adhere to card base
• Stamp the pumpkin in Pumpkin Pie; stamp the center of the pumpkin with Pumpkin Pie, second generation; stamp the cat face in Memento Tuxedo Black ink; stamp the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape
• Use the Layering Circles to cut the pumpkin
• Cut a scallop circle in Gorgeous Grape; adhere the two circles; adhere to card base using dimensionals.

We once had a cat named Josie. She was a cute little thing. She loved water! Yep. She would wade through the ditch, with water in, it with the boys. She would play in the sprinkler, too! AND she would scare the Farmer! So funny!

Card Details:

• A2 card base in Blushing Bride
• Basic Black 4" x 5-1/4"
• Pattern Party DSP 3-3/4" x 5"
• Basic Black use Stitched So Sweetly dies
• Basic White use Stitched So Sweetly dies
• Stamp the 'cat in the box' with Memento Tuxedo Black ink; stamp the box with Blushing Bride
• Stamp the sentiment in Blushing Bride
• Adhere all pieces to the card base
• Use 3 Genial Gems

We have two resident cats on our property, Bob and Bogus. At least one chapter of my book will be titled 'Bob and Bogus'! I have so many funny stories. Two feral cats with minds of their own. They keep us guessing as to their whereabouts and antics. Here's a photo of both of them on this trailer in our shed...the one time they were both there. This is about as close as I can get to them. Bob is at the back and Bogus is is at the front. Look closely!

Delicate Dahlias

Today's card features the SALE-a-bration stamp set, Delicate Dahlias. This stamp set set is "free" with a $100 purchase through September 30.  

I made this card on my FB Live today. It is the stepped up version of my original design. (see below)

Card Details:

• A2 Card base in Crushed Curry
• Blackberry Bliss 4" x 5-1/4"
• Basic White 3-3/4" x 5"
• Stamp outline of dahlias in Blackberry Bliss ink
• Stamp the dahlia color in Crushed Curry
• Stamp sentiment in Blackberry Bliss
• Glue Basic White piece to Blackberry Bliss; adhere Gold Shimmer Ribbon around then adhere to card base
• Stamp the outline dahlia using VersaMark; emboss with Gold embossing powder; adhere to card using dimensionals
• Adhere 3 Brushed Metallic Gems in Gold 

My first card was more of the simpler version but still just as nice.

 

The color combinations on these dahlias are endless! I hope you have fun creating cards or other projects with this stamp set.

I thought I would finish the week with another card using the SALE-a-bration stamp set, 'Feels Like Home'.

I wasn't sure about coloring this with the Stampin' Blends but it worked out really well and I was happy with the results. I did a lot of dot, dot, dot with the fine tip of the Blends because of the tiny areas!

Card Tutorial: 

• A2 card base in Bermuda Bay
• Basic Black cut using the largest Stitched Rectangles dies; adhere to card base
• Stamp image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White; cut with Stitched Rectangle dies
• Color image with Stampin' Blends. I used: Light & Dark Bermuda Bay; Light and Dark Crumb Cake; Light Poppy Parade; Light Cinnamon Cider; Light Old Olive; Dark Daffodil Delight
• Adhere to card base

Today's card uses the SALE-a-bration stamp set Delicate Dahlias. 

 I am entering it in the Paper Players challenge #553 which is a color challenge!

Card details:

• A2 card base in Daffodil Delight
• Real Red 4" x 5-1/4; adhere to card base
• Basic White 3-3/4" x 5"; stamp flowers using Real Red for the flower outline and Daffodil Delight for the flower inside; Old Olive for the leaf outline; adhere to card front
• Old Olive 1" x 3-3/4"; emboss with Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder; adhere to card front
• Basic White punch with Tailored Tag punch; sentiment in Old Olive, flowers in Real Red; sponge edges with Daffodil Delight; adhere to card with dimensionals

I went out to the beach one day this week when it was so hot here. It was gorgeous at the beach! We only live 30-40 minutes from the ocean. I always wonder why I don't go there more often just for a walk! I may have to start a new habit!

Hey Birthday Chick!

I want to make and send today's card to all my 'Chick' friends who have birthdays in August! So cute!

This card makes me happy and it was so fun to make! 

Card Tutorial:

• A2 card base in Basic White
• 4" x 5-1/4" Balmy Blue; use largest Stitched With Whimsy die; round the corners using the Detailed Trio punch; adhere to card base
• 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" Basic White; used second to largest Stitched With Whimsy die
• Using a Blending Brush blend Balmy Blue onto the Basic White; round corners; adhere to card base
• Stamp the three chicks in Memento Tuxedo Black ink; I colored them using the Stampin' Blends in Polished Pink, Fresh Fresia, Mango Melody, Cajun Craze and Melon Mambo; cut out with the Birthday Chick dies
• Cut fence out of Crumb Cake; adhere to card
• Cut the sentiment out of Rainbow Glimmer paper; adhere to card
• Adhere pink chick first, then adhere the other two using dimensionals
• I also cut bows using the die from Birthday Chick out of Rainbow Glimmer paper and used a glue dot to adhere them to the to hens. So cute!

A Rainbow of Chicks!

Such a cute and colorful brood of chicks in today's card and it is really quick and easy to make!

Card Tutorial:

• Basic White Note Card
• Birthday Chick dies; I cut the chicks using Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Rainbow Glimmer Paper, and Gorgeous Grape. I adhered them to the card base using a glue dot.
• Sheep dies; I cut the sun in Daffodil Delight. I stamped the face from Hippo Happiness in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Adhere with a glue dot.
• In Your Words stamp set. This is a SALE-a-bration stamp set and is free when you host a workshop with $300 (or more) in sales. I recommend using the Stamparatus to position the sentiment. I had a hard time getting it straight. I used the Stampin' Write Markers in Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Highland Heather, and Gorgeous Grape to ink the sentiment.

That's it for the card and by the way...I got the mini Cut and Emboss Machine. I love it!!! Such a handy little tool and so convenient to use with the small dies. 

Today is our oldest son's birthday! Hard to believe he is 30! That means I am getting so old! UGH! Here he is with his beautiful wife at our youngest son's wedding in May:

Card Tutorial:

• A2 card base in Blackberry Bliss
• 4"x 5-1/4" Beautifully Penned DSP; cut with Stitched Rectangles dies; glue to card base
• 3"x 4-1/4" Basic Black; cut with Stitched Rectangles dies
• Heat emboss sentiment with White embossing powder
• Secure a piece of Black & White Gingham ribbon to the center; adhere rectangle to card base with dimensionals; adhere to card base with dimensionals
• Scrap of Basic White; stamp image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink; cut with Stitched Rectangle dies
• Color the image using Stampin' Blends. I used Light and Dark Cinnamon Cider; Light Mossy Meadow; Dark Crumb Cake; Dark Blackberry Bliss
• Add three Champagne rhinestones

Counting Sheep

I thought I'd end the week with one more card using the SALE-a-bration stamp set Counting Sheep and the coordinating dies that are also part of SAB!

It is a very simple card but I hope it will make someone smile!

Card tutorial:

• Note card base in Basic White
• Stamp the sheep in Memento Tuxedo Black ink; using the Stampin' Blends in light and dark Gray Granite to add some color; cut sheep using the die
• Using the dies cut the clouds in Pool Party, the sun in Daffodil Delight; adhere to card using dimensionals
• Using the Layering Circle dies cut a circle in Pool Party. Stamp the grass in Mossy Meadow. Glue circle to card base. Add sheep using dimensionals.

Beauty of Tomorrow

I have another card using the Beauty of Tomorrow stamp set and the Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack. This one is definitely quick and easy and rather pretty too!

Very little stamping on this card! I made my own background paper using the large stamp from the set and stamping it multiple times in Rich Razzleberry ink onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock. That's all the stamping! I used the elements from the Ephemera pack and layered them over that gorgeous Gold Shimmer Ribbon and then added three Brushed Metallic Dots. The card base is Fresh Fresia.

Today's card features the Beauty of Tomorrow bundle which includes the Beauty of Tomorrow stamp set and the Beautiful Leaves dies. 

I also used pieces from the Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack. All products can be found on page 45 of the July-December 2021 mini catalog.

Card Details:

• Fresh Fresia cardbase 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" score at 4-1/4"
• Stamp around the card front using the splatter stamp and Fresh Fresia ink. Stamp off once.
• Use the largest die and cut out using Blackberry Bliss cardstock; adhere to cardbase
• Layer several elements from the Ephemera pack; adhere using glue dots
• Stamp the sentiment on to one of the tags from the Ephemera pack. Adhere with dimensionals
• Stamp the bird with Cajun Craze ink; use die to cut out; adhere with a dimensional
• Add 3 gold Brushed Metallic dots

• Color sheep with Stampin' Blends: Light Petal Pink, Dark Crumb Cake, Light Basic Black; Light and Dark Gray Granite
• die cut balloons in Melon Mambo and Night of Navy cardstock
• Stamp sentiment in Night of Navy onto a piece of Basic White cardstock 7/8" x 2-1/2"
• Mount sentiment onto a piece of Night of Navy cardstock 1" x 2-3/4"
• Use dimensionals to adhere sentiment, sheep and balloons to card base
