Sending Love

 Fri-yay! November 29, 2024

Today's card came together using some leftover strips from  A Little Bit Festive DSP.

I'm using this week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #664.

My sketch is descending in the opposite direction. I may have had a little snip out of that center strip.😉 But who will ever know! I stamped a sentiment from Lovely & Sweet onto a sweet little stitched label from SU!'s Mixed Labels dies which is coming January 7 as an Online Exclusive. I finished it with a few gold hearts and some gold twisted thread.

We had this little one earlier this week. She and her great grandma were reading Christmas books. Isn't that the sweetest?!

Season of Fun

 Thursday, November 28, 2024

Happy Thanksgiving! We will be celebrating with our kiddos tomorrow. Today is a quiet day. I have done some food preparation but everyone is bringing food so it isn't bad at all.

I made today's card with a December birthday in mind but I'm not sure I'll use it for a birthday.

I had to ink up and color in that sweet little gal from SU! Seasons of Fun! I'm playing along with The Paper Players Challenge #717

Yesterday on our moring walk we saw some elk. We have a lot of elk in our area...they kind of rotatilled our recently planted wheat field. 😒 We looked up and there they were. Look closely! Of course it was a foggy morining and they blend in so well with the environment!

Humble Home

 Monday, November 25, 2024

I had two cards I had made with SU!'s Humble Home bundle. I just realized I already licked the envelope to one of them. Ugh! The more elaborate one too! It was a fun fold which was kind of fun but I don't do them often and have no plans to make another one any time soon!  Anyways, here's today's card using the Humble Home bundle:

I noticed on a few videos that everyone stamps the house differently. I won't go into detail but I always punch a template for my builder punches. I stamped the door and windows separately and used the punch for the windows and fussy cut the door. The punch also punches out a dot. One person said it was for the door knob. Maybe??? but I think its a bit big for a door knob. I thought it was for making a tag! LOL! Who knows! Obviously there are multiple ways to use this bundle and crafty people do what they want! LOL!

The Farmer and I spent last week at the beach! We celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary which is truly a miracle. God is gracious and has blessed our marriage is all I can say. We actually had some very nice weather while we were there.

Now it is on to the holidays!

Merry Camper

 Thursday, November 21, 2024

Today's card was my second attempt to get a CAS for this week's Paper Players challenge.

And here is the challenge

I used Newton's Nook Designs Christmas Campers stamp set and colored that cute little camper in using SU! Blends in Balmy Blue, Lemon Lolly, Petal Pink, Real Red, Shaded Spruce and Smoky Slate. The sentiment was stamped with Night of Navy. I covered the Basic Beige card base with a  piece of Country Lace DSP.

I'll also enter this at Inspire.Create Challenge #181 where they are looking for Christmas!

Missing You!

 Tuesday, November 19, 2024

Today's card was a fun one to make. Sweet and simple.

I used the sketch from Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #234

My sweet little kitten is from Captivated Kittens as well as the sentiment. The little butterfly is from Spring Haul. Both stamps sets from Newton's Nook Designs. That cute strip of polka dots is from NND Bright Basics Paper Pack.

You are Amazing!

 Friday, November 15, 2024

Happy Fri-yay! Oh my! Today is a busy day. We are going to have the 2-1/2 year old granddaughter which wasn't planned but is totally fine. It's just that I have a few little commitments that we are just going to work around. We'll see how it goes!

Today's card is all orange. LOL!

I don't use a lot of orange but this just kind of came to be what it is. I used SU!'s Autumn to Remember for those orange trees and the sentiment is from Sentimental Park. I used the Fern EF. Orange you glad I made this card?!

Happy Stamping and have a great weekend!

A Little Coffee

 Thursday, November 14, 2024

Today's card uses another fun array of colors!

My color inspiration came from the Retro Rubber #243 Challenge.

I used SU!'s Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Orchid Oasis and Tahitian Tide. I used a stamp from Newton's Nook Designs called Heartfelt Coffee and it is a year old.  I had fun coloring those cute mugs!  I used this week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

Challenges are hard for me. LOL! I overthink them...

BFF

 Wednesday, November 13, 2024

Today's card uses a bright array of colors from the Paper Players #715 challenge this week.

And here's my card:

I made my own DSP using the heart stamps from SU! Sweet Conversations. I added a few black spotty dots, adhered it to a Magenta Madness piece of cardstock, wrapped a piece of Magenta Madness ribbon around it and adhered that to a Tahitian Tide card base. My tag is from the Sweet Heart dies that coordinate with the stamp set. I love that little tag! I popped it up with dimensionals.

That's it! One bright cheery card ready to go to one of my BFF's!

We had this little one yesterday...she wasn't sure of the big tractor by I got a picture of her on the tire!

The Cat's Meow

Tuesday, November 12, 2024

Today's card came together using the Just Add Ink #727 Sketch and a few leftover pieces from a scrapbooking project.

Here's the sketch:

I've been working on a scrapbook for one of my granddaughters and I had made some cute things with the Cricut using the Kate's ABCs cartridge.  I gathered up a few pieces and assembled this card.

You've Got This

 Monday, November 11, 2024

Happy Monday! And a big thank you to all our Veteran's today as we acknowledge and remember those who have served our country in the military.  I have several uncles who served, a cousin, and a nephew.

Today's card came together because the focal image had been hanging around on my desk for awhile. LOL!

The flower stamp is from SU!'s Blessings of Home (retired) and I stamped it on Very Vanilla with Gray Granite ink. I colored it using Moody Mauve, Lost Lagoon and Petal Pink SU! Blends. The dies for this stamp set are called Flowers of Home. I adhered it to a circle cut from the Spotlight on Nature dies. I used Earthen Elegance DSP  (retired) on a Pretty Peacock card base and some Lost Lagoon ribbon (retired). The sentiment is from Unbounded Love and cut with a die from Something Fancy. I finished it with a few silver sequins.

We had this almost 2-1/2 year old the other day!

Paisley got some new boots! Froggies! I swear those boots empower her. She loves all things on the farm including the riding lawn mower. Note: mower was not engaged!

Her cousin, Autumn, is a happy girl too!

LOVE

 Saturday, October 26, 2024

I wanted to share another wedding card I made using the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle.

I had kind of started it at home and then finished it in our RV. Not really a good idea. I did not have all the products I wanted to finish it but who is really going to know but me?! The photo isn't the best either because I just took a quick shot in the trailer!

Anyways, the wedding was outside. It was a beautiful setting. It didn't start raining until the couple said "I Do" then it poured and didn't stop. There were hot drinks and hot soup and bread which made it 'souper' nice! 😀 I got no photos...

We camped out for a few days and enjoyed exploring some new areas.

Have a great weekend!

Best Wishes

 Friday, October 25, 2024

It's Fri-yay! My card for today is for a wedding we will be attending on Sunday.

I used one of my favorite stamp sets, Celebrate Sunflowers. Well, actually I just used the dies! Ha! I cut the flower out using a piece of the All About Autumn DSP (retired) and the outline is cut using a piece of the Oxidized Copper DSP. Those sprigs are just cut from another piece of the DSP. I wrapped some copper linen thread around a piece of woodgrain paper. The sentiment is from an oldy, Petite Pairs.  I embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder.

I'm playing along with two challenges. Stampin' Up! Only Challenges, #SUOC363 where they want Tricks or Treats. Hopefully, this qualifies as treats!

Retro Rubber Challenge #242 is looking for fall cards.

I love it when my card fits a challenge and I didn't even try! It's been a wonderfully productive morning...not in a crafting way either. Lots of odds and ends taken care of...yeah!

Cozy Camper

 Thursday, October 24, 2024

It is a beautiful autumn day here in my neck of the woods. We had our first official frost last night. The colors are glorious! I am having some crafting therapy this afternoon and it's good. My parents would be celebrating their 71st wedding anniversary if my dad was still alive. He's been gone five years but who's counting?? (me.) My friend died Monday from glioblastoma two months after her diagnosis. So, you see, crafting therapy is a must!

Today's card:

I used the cute Cozy Campers stamp set from Newton's Nook Designs and colored that cute little camper in with my SU! Blends. It went on a tag from SU!'s Greetings of the Season. The little sun is from SU!'s Glamper Greetings. I finished it off with a few heart shaped pearls and a linen thread bow. I'm playing along with The Paper Players challenge this week.

Grateful for You

 Monday, October 7, 2024

Happy Monday and Happy October! We have had an idyllc autumn here in my neck of the US. It is so beautiful. Perfect temperatures, very little wind, some rain showers occasionally...LOVE it!

Here is my card for today:

I used the SU! Autumn to Remember stamp set. It is online and came out with the scrapbooking brochere of products. It's a fun stamp set and I really like it. I paired it with a Pretty Peacock card base and stamped with Pretty Peacock ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. I used the Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon (retired). The sentiment is from Layers of Beauty which I cut using the Nested Essential dies and layered onto a piece of Oxidized Copper DSP. The sprigs are from the Autumn Leaves dies.

I'm entering it at Inspire.Create. Challenge #178 where they want Autumn or Halloween.

Here's our Autumn who teaches us that change can be beautiful!

And Miss P! Such a big girl!

Let's Paw-ty!

 Friday, September 6, 2024

My card today uses Newton's 4th of July stamp set  from Newton's Nook Designs.

I was inspired by the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #593.

I used a Night of Navy card base. (I meant to use Starry Sky, oops!) My tags are cut using the largest die from SU!'s Greetings of the Season. The sentiment is from NND's Birthday Barks. I finished it off with some ribbon, baker's twine and some gold sequins.

Riding by...

Thursday, September 5, 2024

I am all over the place in my craft studio! I want/NEED to scrapbook. I NEED to order photos...which I did begin that task. With another grandchild due in December I have got to get my photos under control. As I was going through my photos I had taken no less than 30 photos of the grand girls in just ONE day! That might be a bit excessive and it is extremely difficult to decide which ones to print. LOL! Every card challenge I see I want to do and my mind starts creating for it, then I veer left and start creating what's in my mind, what's out on my work station, etc! Oh, such problems! NOT! LOL!

So here is today's card inspired by a lunch date I had with one of my besties. We talked about living in quieter times, using a bike instead of a car and going into a quaint little town to buy a baguette, a scone or have a cup of tea.

I thought this image from NND's, Cycling Friends, worked rather well with our dream.

My new favorite thing to do with an envelope flap...when the paper doesn't quite cover the flap I stamp a sweet sentiment. This one is from SU! Unbounded Love. I love it! (sorry about the shadow in photo 😐)

Today I am going to work on scrapbooking!

Enjoy today, too!

 Wednesday, September 4, 2024

I made another card with the wonderful sketch from yesterday's cards!

The Paper Players wanted spots or stripes.

Today's card uses the 2024-2026 In Color DSP. I used Petunia Pop, Peach Pie and Shy Shamrock and they all went on a Basic Beige card base after I rounded the corners. I had a slight boo boo so I was able to fix it with the rounded corners and I liked how it turned out! I ink blended (!) a circle using the same In Color inks as the paper and popped that cute NND kitten from Kitten Beach up on dimensionals.

Enjoy Today!

 Tuesday, September 3, 2024

Today's card is for Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #231 and it is a sketch challenge. Here's my card...

and here is the sketch.

The bright and cheery paper comes from NND's Bright Basics 6 x 6 Paper Pad. I adhere it all to a white card base. I colored that cute kitty from the Kitten Beach stamps and used the coordinating die to cut him out along with the seashells. The sentiment is from Heartfelt Blooms. I finished it off with a few gems from my stash.

I had so much fun using this sketch that I made another one! I just used different paper, NND's Birthday Woofs, and a different kitty from the same set. So fun!
