A Love Bunny

Retro Rubber Challenge #154  Anything Goes!

I am loving doing some clean and simple card making! It feels like spring cleaning. LOL! For the Retro Rubber Challenge I chose to use Stampin' Up!'s Garden Girl and Hanging Garden stamp sets. I don't know how old they are. Over 3 years at least. I love them because all the images can be colored and I love coloring!

I colored this little bunny with the Gray Granite and Petal Pink Blends. Matted him on a stitched square of Petal Pink cardstock and added a few loops of black metallic thread and popped it onto the Thick Basic White card base. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink right onto the card base. Sweet.Simple.Clean.

Happy Stamping!

Kangaroo & Company

The Paper Players Challenge PP533
Tuesday, March 23, 2021

This week's  Paper Players is a Clean and Simple Challenge using animals!

I had to ink up this adorable kangaroo from Stampin' Up!'s Kangaroo & Company bundle. I stamped her on Cinnamon Cider with Memento Black ink.  The bouquet is stamped in Memento Black ink and then I colored it using the SU! Blends in Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, and Petal Pink. Everything went on a Blushing Bride card base.  What a fun and quick card!

It is Spring Break here in Oregon which means very little to us since we don't have children in school.  The Farmer is trying to get fields fertilized in between rain showers!

Enjoy your day!

Christmas Card Throwdown #2

 Wednesday, January 13, 2021

Today's card using the  52 Christmas Card Throwdown color challenge.

I used Stampin' Up!'s Whisper White, Shaded Spruce and Early Espresso on my cute reindeer card. Here's my very simple card:

I love sweet and simple cards that are complete! I colored that cute reindeer with the Stampin Up! Blends in Dark and Light Soft Suede and Dark and Light Shaded Spruce with a touch of Dark Petal Pink on his ears and nose. The DSP is the Classic Christmas and the ribbon is the Faux Suede Trim in Early Espresso. I cropped the reindeer out with a stitched oval die and mounted it on a scalloped oval die.

Well, we are at mid week here on the farm and it has been a full week already! We had a ton of rain yesterday! The water was high and overflowing along the creeks and ditches around. I didn't get a picture either! Today the sun is shining brightly and it is beautiful!

Happy Stamping!

A Cut Above

 Monday, January 4, 2021

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. We finished celebrating this past Saturday. It was wonderful! Here's our growing family.  Taylor and his fiance, Katie and Steven and his wife, McKenzie.

I am playing along with the Paper Players today. They want something new. Stampin Up's new January-June mini catalog will be available Tuesday, January 5, 2021. I preordered a few goodies and A Cut Above is one of the stamp sets I got.

I made a simple card using the set. I used the Brights DSP in Granny Apple Green and mounted it on a Granny Apple Green card base. I colored with the Stampin' Blends.

I am also entering it over at the Krafty Chicks where Anything Goes!

Happy Stamping!

PP508 Wishing you well

 Monday, September 14, 2020

Happy Monday! Here in Oregon we are socked in with smoke. We have had terrible forest fires over the last week. The air quality is the worst in the world right now. Crazy stuff. Thankfully we were not in the area where the fires were burning but many of them are within 50 miles east and west of us so the smoke is coming at us from all directions. Most of the state is covered with smoke. This is unprecedented for this area of Oregon! But, this whole year has been unprecedented!

I made a card for the Paper Players color challenge this week.

And here is my card:

My card base is Blackberry Bliss. I used a layer of copper foil, Very Vanilla and Pretty Peacock DSP. I used the Gather Together stamp set. I stamped the large leaf with Cajun Craze ink onto Cajun Craze cardstock. I cut two copper foil leaves. The sentiment is stamped in Blackberry Bliss.

Hoping for blue skies again soon!

Blessings,

Tracy

Lovely You

Tuesday, August 11, 2020

It is wedding week! Our son, Steven, will be getting married this Saturday. It will be a full week but I am looking forward to it!

I used the Lovely You bundle for these three cards. I used three colors from the Brights collection:  Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight. This first card I got a lot of practice using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. When I first used this punch I wasn't sure I liked it but once I got the hang of it I LOVE it! The key is making sure your paper is measured correctly and checking the backside before punching.

My second card and third cards I had so  much fun making my own designer series paper! Stamp, stamp, stamp! Love it with all those fun flowers and leaves. I love how the sentiment stamped in Melon Mambo and matted on Granny Apple Green just pops off the page.

This last card I did more stamping using tone on tone with the Melon Mambo and cutting it with the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

Today is Steven's birthday. 29! Hard to believe. We celebrated Saturday with a party here for him.

Blessings,

Tracy
